Would like input from people who have tried Saxenda (especially people with hypothyroidism)
I recently read on the blog www.restart.med, run by US naturopath Westin Childs, that the relatively new drug
Saxenda
can lead to extraordinary weight loss results, especially in patients with insulin and leptin resistance.

NDT
I was actually taking
Saxenda
until last week, but after 6 weeks I only lost 4lbs- which isn’t really worth the price tag. And in a few days it’s all gone back on! 😩 So I’d like to know if NDT has helped weight loss, how it has made you feel, and where is the best place to get it from please?

Hyperthyroid symptoms, enormous appetite and weight gain...could leptin and reverse T3 be the answer?
I would even be willing to try the drug
Saxenda
which Dr. Childs describes as a new and very effective way to treat obesity. It seems it's basically the same as the drug Victoza used in patients with diabetes 2, but that
Saxenda
was specifically developed for weight loss.

Did anyone's start like this??
The only thing that worked was
Saxenda
which is the same as Victoza, but I had an injection site reaction. And here I am. Everything is bad, triglycerides, blood sugar, A1C, all of it. My biggest concern before I heard of liver fibrosis was my hugely distended belly. It's still huge.

Let me introduce myself.
I was diagnosed with Early Onset PD at the age of 49. I am now 67. Will fill in more another day. It's 11:00 am & time to get moving. Thank you all for the hearty welcome!! This seems to be a very user-friendly (and friendly user) forum. ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

Namenda + Exelon
My Mother started Namenda a month ago, then added an Exelon patch one week ago with the hope that these would help her gait freezing. The problem is actually getting much worse! Has anyone experienced such a paradoxical effect? I'm not sure what else is causing such a precipitous downward spiral in

And so it goes
Hi all, I started my clinical trial today and I found out I am the first patient to start this trial nation wide and the only patient in tennessee. When it's in full swing there will be just over a hundred participants . I have to admit letting them do radiation to my brain was the most uncomfortable

Starting trial
Hi all, Next week I am starting that clinical trial doing the prophylactic radiation . Even though patients don't know whether we will get total treatment or memory preserving treatment ( it's called hippocampus something I can't ever remember) any way they are offering namenda a drug that delays

Is dementia a normal part of PD?
My husband has been diagnosed for 13 years now. He is 73. The first five years he did very well with lots of biking then walking after several bike crashes. Then two broken legs from two different falls, both in the home simply walking and turning. Since then the dementia has steadily progressed. His

Namenda
Has anyone used this medicine for PD. My mom who is 76 just started this today to help with her shuffling and balance. The docter said it is the last one she will be able to try. No other ones have worked.

Has anyone tried Mirtazapine for eating and anxiety problems? Hubby has PD with severe dementia and was taken off of Sinemet and Namenda
because doctor said they were no longer working. His appetite is way down probably because he has a hard time eating and he gets frustrated and agitated all the time. Dr. said this med might help with issues. Wondering about any side affects and if anyone has had any luck with this medication.

Ooops, I DiD It Again
On 2-8-13, I wrote a blog entitled "PSP Story With A Touch Of Humor". The gist of it was I'd laid down about 1:30 for a nap. I awoke around 6:30, feeling refreshed and absolute that it 6:30 a.m. the next day, not 6:30 in the evening. Clues were all around me that it was the same day, but the evening.

My Neurology Appointment Didn't Go So Well This Week.
But I wasn't surprised, either. My existing symptoms seem to be escalating i.e. loss of balance and falls, and a few new ones that have snuck in there that concerned me. Such as the amount of times I've aspirated over the last several weeks. 1/2 a dozen maybe? Maybe it sounds like little to those

I am so frustrated that I can't do anything to help my husband with his pain and doctors aren't helping.
He is having really bad pain in his legs to the point he cries. Because of his cognitive issues, I can't understand everything he is trying to tell me so I don't for sure know what he is experiencing. I've been driving the Neurologist crazy with my calls asking for help. He was taken off Mirapex several

I've been on a memory med, Namenda, for 1 month. Has anyone experienced side-affects from this med, specifically chest pain?
