Late onset asthma confusion
I went back to the doctor because I didn’t feel like the
salbutamol
was doing anything to help. I was then given a clenil preventer inhaler and told to continue using
salbutamol
as needed. As I constantly had a tight chest it was difficult to know when and how often to us the
salbutamol
.

Looking for alternative to inhaled steroid
I am seeing a pulmonologist for allergy induced asthma. I am in late stage 3 kidney failure and cannot take oral steroids. I am allergic to Albuterol so the doc prescribed Trelegy but it has caused an ongoing case of oral thrush because of my low immune system due to poor kidney function. I have asked

Anoro Ellipta - have you had side effects
Having read online the side effects I am very hesitant to commit to taking this every day as my symptoms have currently subsided plus I do respond well to the

Review of Top 10 Prescribed Drugs and Their Interaction with Dental Treatment
Yet another paper which hints at quite a bit - bit then is behind a paywall. If anyone has access, just knowing the outline of what they say could be very interesting. We have had many question the impact of thyroid issues on their teeth and dental treatment. [i]Dent Clin North Am. 2016 Apr;60(2):

Nebuliser
I use my nebuliser at least 4 times a day with saline or
Salbutamol
2.5ml dose's which take approximately 5 minutes to administer, During a 3 day stay in hospital I couldn't help but notice how much slower it was to get the same dose of medication from their machine, upto 20 minutes.

Covid causing an asthma flare...
My peakflow is at 60% of best and I'm taking regular
salbutamol
, but the breathlessness is the worst I've ever had! Spoke to G.P who has told me to continue what I'm doing but I feel absoloutly rubbish, this has hit me harder than expected!

Coughing is my life!!
I have got such a bad cough with my asthma it's got worse over the years, I have relvar eliptar as my preventer and
salbutamol
as reliever using that with a spacer for more accurate inhalation. I have had 6 cases of a chest infection most occurring around season change.

Covid supplementary treatment: Citirizine
I also used saline,
salbutamol
and Atrovent nebs, and my Airphysio to clear my lungs. A friend’s GP had recommended taking Citirizine, an anti-histamine so I agreed that with my own GP too. It seems that the body’s immune system over-reacts and that is what causes the exhaustion etc.

Can Albuterol be used everyday ?
I take Qvar twice a day. I find that Albuterol makes my breathing easier but have read that you should not use it everyday.

Ventolin nebules
As a brittle asthmatic I have been nebulising on ventolin nebules for some years now which I have always found works much better for me than a generic
salbutamol
but have now been told that ventolin nebules have been discontinued. Anyone else having the same problem?

Is it ok to continue to use it. I did some research and it says it will ok up to one year after expiry date? Thanks

Asthma flare up
PF still same as when came in, nobody wants to know that had to take my
salbutamol
, or pf readings. Really feel better going home, and if it flares up again once I move and do things, come back and start again.

How do you clean inhalers (not spacers)...if you're clumsy & drop them somewhere grubby?!
Hi there, I may be the clumsiest of asthmatics but wonder what you tend to do if you drop your inhaler (
salbutamol
/clenil modulite types) somewhere grubby and the canister pops out too. I tend to wash the main unit well with hot soapy water but don't know what to do about the canister part.

COPD
I am taking BREO Ellipta & Spiriva in the mornings, also
Salbutamol
HFA 100UG when needed. Now I have had these these two flareups. First one was about a year ago. I just woke up finding it really hard to breathe, like I had a band rapped around my chest & had these really bad coughing fits.

CAN’T TOLERATE ALBUTEROL INHALERS - ALTERNATIVES? LOOKING FOR INFO/IDEAS.
Has anyone not been able to tolerate any Albuterol based inhalers due to tachycardia and arrhythmia issues? This has happened twice - and I am wondering what the alternative options are to these Albuterol based inhalers?
