Nebulisers
I had to visit A&E last night & was put on nzebuliser with fluid &
salbutamol
, the Dr said even steam can help & I wondered if anyone uses an at home nebuliser with only water..no meds...just so steam can help open airways...if so, is it ordinary tap water, or sterilised satchets or saline...advice please

I'm new here and rather scared to be on the site. First time for me.
Only using my
salbutamol
handyhaler at moment. Has anyone any ideas or has anyone had any problems with these bronchodilators. Really could do with some help here. Panic attacks not helping either. I have a feeling of a very heavy head and lump in my throat dont know what to do.

I Have been taking budesimide spiriva and
salbutamol
for 5 years. Told to carry on with this. Deterioation over time inevitable I was told and I accept, but should there have been some discussion around treatment. I felt like I was being fobbed off. Are my expectations too high?

Consultant appointment today
I am currently on seretide, plus montelukast and
salbutamol
. I'm a bit worried they are going to take all the medications from me.

Theophylline (and query about lung function tests)
He did even vaguely question whether I had asthma... it's frustrating because I certainly feel like I have asthma and
salbutamol
brings me relief.

Navigating asthma
I'm now on separate preventative inhalers - a LABA and a steroid, and
salbutamol
for short term relief, which at least doesn't give me headaches. How long does it take to get asthma under control?

Active Cycle of Breathing alongside Nebulisers
Not sure if everyone with bronchiectasis has to do this, but my mum does physiotherapy and other techniques alongside the nebuliser ( saline, plus
salbutamol
when needed) e.g. one method is called The Active Cycle of Breathing which helps her a lot to get the phlegm up and her oxygen saturation levels

Query about reverse t3
And liothyronine medication, is it formulated with only the active t3 or is there a proportion of reverse t3 in the manufacture in the same way that
salbutamol
for example has equal proportions of the s+ and r- enantiomer? I haven’t been able to find any papers on the latter question.

At what point do you usually take oral steroids?
Recently, viral coughs dropped me down to 330 or 300, though with lots of
salbutamol
I could hover around 350. Asthma uk nurses, my asthma nurse and one or 2 gps have said oral steroids fairly quickly - nurse said within 24 hours of below 380.

Advice needed please
I’m relying on my
salbutamol
inhaler for now. Question is...should I carry on using
salbutamol
only or pay out for Symbicort. In other words how much harm could it do?

What inhalers do you have for your asthma?
I'm been tried on steroids, steroid inhalers (Beclomethasone) and
Salbutamol
but not really noticed they've had a big effect but I'm prepared to try anything at this point in time.

Undiagnosed daughter on alot of medication, anyone similar?
She lives on daily, slo-phyllin, montelukas, seretide, steroids in winter and azithromicin, and when needed atrovent and
salbutamol
. Without these medications my daughter would be living in the hospital, mainly in HDU.

Nearing the end?
My breathing has now deteriorated to the stage that on waking I am on the verge of panic and take about 20 mins. to calm after copious pumping of
salbutamol
and self control. It is obvious that without some meaningful relief my life has little point. Any suggestions would be welcome.
