Hi folks I don’t often post but tonight I’m really feeling weepy. I have brittle asthma and due to start those injections on Thursday. I’ve just come out of hospital after yet another asthma flare up. I’m taking nebuliser salbutamol and atrovent Symbicort inhaler. 40 mg of pred. Co amoxyclav 3 times

I always feel very sore and inflamed when asthma flares up plus coughing. I have a symbicort inhaler and salbutamol . Just wondering how you all deal with the inflammation ?

Wierd side effect of Salbutamol
Does anyone else get the shakes with Salbutamol? I only have mild asthma so don't have to use Salbutamol that often and it doesn't happen every time (trying to figure out the trigger factors) but I can get the shakes for about 10 minutes after taking it and it can put me off taking it when I do need

Help
Hi All, I have been away from this site for a year now but in the meantime I have still been suffering. My problem is a persistent cough with a very noisy chest and coughing up all the time. I’ve been told it’s asthma. I’m on budesonide/formoterol (Symbicort 400/12) two puffs twice a day and Salbutamol

Finally seem to be improving.
I am 55 and have been struggling with a yearlong plus flare up that hasn't resolved despite the usual treatment with inhaled steroids (Qvar). A couple of additional things have really helped and perhaps worth considering. FIrst, I went on spiriva. Its a copd med also used for asthma as a long-acting

Asthma strikes again
Just had a moderate attack at home. Salbutamol has controlled the situation. Until a month ago I was feeling really well again. My PF has been jumping around a lot over the last few weeks, sometimes in the green then in the amber. I knew that if I went to see my GP and at that moment in time my PF was

Using Performist
Can anyone tell me about their experience with Performist. I'm hoping to have this added to my med list. One of the things I'd like to know is what to use for a rescue med. Right now I'm on Budesonide and Yupelri and I'm using Albuterol as rescue medication. But I've read that you shouldn't use Albuterol

Cleaning Tips
This morning I had something very gunky to clean. I use a fragrance free cleaner (brand is called Method. V expensive but worth the money as it means I don’t wheeze) on my worktops etc however it wasn’t cutting it on this dirt. I decided to use an other cleaner which is stronger but has a very strong

Nothing helping breathlessness 😒
After about 6 weeks of sudden severe breathlessness which only go when I take steroids, my fostair dose has been upped to 200/6 I have been also given encruse Ellipta also taking my salbutamol a few times a day but I’m still getting breathless when the steroids stop, so at the moment I’m no longer on

Normal flora
Hi, glad to join. I have asthma and bronchiectasis following a chemical accident with ammonia 11 years ago. Whenever I have a “chest infection” my doctor sends off a sputum sample (before antibiotics started) but it always comes back as normal flora. My respiratory consultant says this is not a chest

Can’t shake off tight chest feeling despite good peak flow / inhaler use
Mystery catalysts to chest tightness... I’m 32 and I’ve had asthma most of my life. I smoked in my teens to mid 20s and didn’t look after myself (in terms of prevention/inhalers). Since moving to London a few years ago my asthma has exacerbated. I now look after myself - exercise where possible, use

Dry, tickly cough and asthma attacks- help
I have had a dry, tickly cough for about 5 days now which has upset my asthma control slightly as I have been more short of breath and wheezy at times. I had been using my inhaler frequently and saw the GP who said it was not an infection but prescribed some steroids. So, last night travelling home
