I don't know what to do, am I going to die? How old are you all? Not got the results from the xray yet but the doctor thinks its a done deal
She has put me on steroids and a
Salamol
blue inhaler but this tells me nothing, would anybody know please. From what I've read you all seem really nice and supportive to each other which is great, at least you all know whats happening to each other.

Newbie to site. Diagnosed borderline COPD 5 years ago, stopped smoking 3.5 years ago after smoking up to 60 a day. Champix did the trick..
Initially was put on
Salamol
Easi-Breathe. Everything appeared fine until recently when I started with a chest infection back in October, since then I have had 5 more chest infection, 4 lots of antibiotics plus steroids along with Spiriva inhaler.

Salamol, how often?
Hi all, I took two puffs of
Salamol
this morning at about 7:30am, since then I have been out and it's so cold, it's affected my breathing and coughing. Am I able to take at least another puff before the 4 hour time frame? Hugs Cass

Humidifiers
Hi, I have inhalers: Seretide,
Salamol
and spiriva. During the night on numerous occasions, I wake up with a dry throat, to relieve this I have to drink about a pint of water. Would a humidifier help me please? Best wishes Cass

Ventolin vs Salamol
I have just been prescribed
Salamol
inhalers rather than my usual Ventolin. I'm still getting used to the switch and at the moment I miss my old Ventolins but some observations: -The canister of the inhaler is smaller. At first I thought somebody was palming me off with half-sized medication.

How long for recovery?
At first the gp had said to take my reliever (
salamol
) 4 times a day, but I was really struggling on that so the nurse said to take it as often as I needed, which was about every 2 hours at first.

Inhalers don't make any difference ?
Then I have a
Salamol
to take when needed. I tried a little experiment. I didn't take any of them for 2 days. My Sats stayed the same and I still got SOB doing the same jobs or walking etc whether I take them or not. Any ideas anyone? Just to add.

Hello all. About my COPD
A 12 hr one, Formoterol Easyhaler and
Salamol
for when I need it. To be honest, none of these seem to make any difference but maybe that's just my imagination. Any comments gratefully appreciated.

Allergy testing
She is using the
salamol
between 4-8 times a day. I asked the GP what had triggered the attack but he was very vague about what had started it again. I could do with more information.
