Not enough dopamine for Dystonia vs. too much dopamine creating fatigue and daytime sleepiness.
we were trying a dosage pattern of
rytary
of 195/145, 145/145, 195/145, 145/145. I will admit the
rytary
provided better, smoother coverage but didn't really help dystonia......and I had a 6 mg patch of neurpo in the mix. We then tried a combo of a 195
rytary
and 1.5 (25/100) C/L with the patch.

Is edema a side effect of RYTARY?
Now I'm on
Rytary
alone and edema is back. I wore shorts today and both the neuro and my wife noticed swollen legs. No pain or other problems from the edema but I'm wondering if this is common and if it will go away. The neuro asked whether I was using a lot of salt.

Can PD get better?
I take
Rytary
but Dr Google suggests other meds might help. So I also take cinnamon, phosphatidyl serine, Super B-complex, Vitamin D, Green tea capsules, fish oil, a statin, CoQ10, baby aspirin, miralax, dulcolax, tylenol and melatonin.

Any history with customers with PD med's - Generic Name: carbidopa and levodopa ( KAR bi DOE pa and LEE voe DOE pa) Brand Name:
Rytary

Azilect - When do you take it?
My mom was taking azilect with her second dose of sinemet then she switched to
rytary
and took it with her first dose of
rytary
. Now she is back on sinemet (
rytary
side effects were too much) and taking azilect with second sinemet dose but that leads to lots of dyskinesia about 3 hours later.

Can I take One sinemet together with less Rytary in the morning
Rytary
takes two hours to have effect. I need to be at work after one hour. can I take 100mg Sirio or Sinemet ONCE in morning, reducing
Rytary
by 195 mg. To get some levodopa and hence get to work!

Further details for data wonks:
[/u] In searching for the appropriate chart, there were an excess of hits for "ER CD-LD", which is actually
Rytary
and therefore not relevant to the discussion.

WELL.....Crap!
Because of reactions to Sinemet Dr Bortan is switching to
Rytary
, 36.25mg/145mg one capsule three times daily. So now I go back the the cardiologist to determine why I have chest pain that radiates into my left arm. I have no problems spending three hours a day on the treadmill.

Sinemet and Xadago
Blood pressure great but more involuntary movements and not as smooth as when on

rytary
? Anyone take sinemet with xadago? I will add hydration is a problem. She is very bad about drinking enough liquids.

Alternatives from Adalat Retard
My Grandma has been on Adalat retard 20mg for a very long time to manage her blood pressure. Since it’s been discontinued her doctors has been haphazard with finding her a new solution. She has symptoms with Nifedipress 20mg. Has anyone had a better transition from retard? If so which tablet?

Substantial Effects from Mannitol
The breakthrough came at the first of this year when I realized that even 1
Rytary
in a week was causing anxiety and hallucinations and he stopped it completely. He is now functioning as well as he did last summer when he was on all the meds.

Sinemet vs Rytary
My main complaint is that recently, I walk a little slower than I used to and I am considering adding Sinemet or
Rytary
. Which medication has less side effects and is anyone taking either in addition to mucuna? By adding the additional medication, will it cause off times? Thanks

questions about Rytary
My neurologist has suggested that I try
Rytary
at night instead of C/L extended release, to see if it improves early morning symptoms (mostly leg stiffness). I'm not sure if it's worth making a change, if the morning symptoms aren't terribly bothersome.

Rytary the second time.
I am trying
Rytary
again. It has been a week now and I am have not had his much pain and off time ever before. I am taking 2 61.25/245 caps every 4 hours which is I believe the largest dose allowed. It has worked for 4 hours or 1 or 2 or 3 or not at all. It is not for me.

Rytary questions
So, my neuro and I are experimenting with
Rytary
. It’s expensive and not covered by insurance (over $600 a bottle!) It does seem to last much longer (2 or 3 capsules last about 5 hours). But between doses it’s hell again as usual (depression/anxiety).

HAS HDT PLUS LEVODOPA HELPED YOU? IF SO,PLEASE HELP.
If your levodopa is
Rytary
, please contribute as well. Looks like early morning fatigue is getting unbearable pre-initial dose, so I am open to alternatives. Your responses are welcome. Thanks.

Mannitol and Dopamine Levels
We reduced his
Rytary
. This worked for 2 weeks and then hallucinations returned, so we also reduced his Neupro patch. Last week, even with all of these reductions, the hallucinations are back, so we stopped Mannitol.

Gratitude; transitioning away from Levodopa; emulating John Pepper's Azilect program
In our case, this requires first phasing out
Rytary
, and then phasing out duloxetine before starting on Azilect due to contraindication of Azilect with duloxetine.
