Medical question
Trying me on Ropinorole 250mg one a day and has told me to stop using the
Rotigotine
3mg patch. My question: Is it safe to stop using the patch with immediate affect?? I have developed an severe allergy to the patch and its foil like backing.

I hate my GP - making me feel like a drug addict
I even asked her about
Rotigotine
patch which she dismissed. I am literally at the end of my tether as she just made me feel like a junky for asking for pain relief. I am sitting here in tears typing this as don't know what to do next. Does anyone know of a specialist in RLS in the North East?

Neupro patch side effects?
I'm wondering whether
rotigotine
can cause character change. (I'm not referring to the well documented changes like compulsive behaviours) I know that when I came off ropinerole after being on it for many years, my sister said to me 'You're back!' and I could tell the difference too.

What Next?
She hasn't tried the
rotigotine
patches but im sceptical in her trying these as I'm worried the same thing will happen, work for a few months and then symptoms re start.

Augmentation issues
Also, my doctor has suggested a slow transition from ROPINOROLE to
ROTIGOTINE
which seems to also be a dopomine agonist. Has anyone got any other recommendations? On the plus side, my restless legs have been great since I reduced the dose.

Help With Starting point with Cannabis
Iron is now over 90, and tried tramadol and codeine which didnt do a lot, and the final option he has asked the GP to give me is a
Rotigotine
patch. In the letter he also suggested that Cannabis has been known to help, so I thought I would try that.

Advice on Rotigotine Patches
Currently on 5 x daily madopar 100/25, and until recently
rotigotine
patches. Recently the patches have produced a massive skin reaction, pure solid blister and pus (sorry), so have stopped using them. Just wondered about other peoples experiences?

Mirapexin Prolonged-Release
And before that I was for years on Pramiprexole and later on the
Rotigotine
Neupropatch. It was also discovered the Gabapentin was not good for my eyesight so my Neurologist suggested PR Mirapexin and helped me to taper down the Gabapentin by 300 mg every two weeks.

Coming off pramipexole
Since then I've tried
rotigotine
patches and gabapentin without much success. I'm now on 300mg of pregabalin. Although I'm not cured, my RLS is much less pronounced during the day and evenings. I am also getting more sleep - 6/7 hours.

Stopping Ropinirole
Then I can start
Rotigotine
patches. I know some on this forum say these "dopamine agonists" are not good, but this is what my specialist and my GP recommend (this discussion was on the phone due to the current crisis), so I want to follow their advice. 1.

RLS - What worked for me
My doctor recommended neupro (
rotigotine
) transdermal patches, and I was very skeptical because, well the idea of medicine being delivered through your skin barrier, a barrier designed to keep stuff out seemed a bit far fetched.
