Which meds helped emotional dysregulation?
He tried
ritalin
and concerta, but we didn't notice any improvement in any symptoms, and had a few undesirable side effects, so we went off. At the time, he really didn't want any medication, so we didn't continue the search. (We homeschool, so we're mostly able to work around the focus stuff.)

Potential advice and help
I already was diagnosed with ADD and am dislexic so I take
Ritalin
for my ADD anyway. I’m also on venlaphaxin for depression but I was wondering if anyone could recommend anything that has helped clear their head space. My ongoing symptoms are fatigue & brain fog.

Morning Struggles With Young Son
He is on
Ritalin
, which when kicks in works pretty good. It seems to work better though if I give it to him before breakfast. But if I do that then his stomach starts to hurt pretty bad. I've switched to after breakfast but then it seems as though it's much less effective.

Vyvanse titration and career thoughts/tangent
- For those that are adding short acting stimulants to the Vyvanse,
Ritalin
or Adderall, did you find these made the Vyvanse less effective? and do you now take them every day or just when you need them? Appreciate your thoughts!

Looking for a light
I tried
Ritalin
, Vyvance and Adderall which all had horrible side effects. I've tried to manage by monitoring what he eats among other things , however this year his sypmtoms have gotten extremely worse. I am at a loss on what to do.

Ritalin backordered
Anyone else having a problem getting their
Ritalin
prescription filled. I understand there have been shortages. But I just want to know if there is anyone else having to go without due to shortages of
Ritalin
at this time.

Ritalin (Methylphenidate)
I've saw a few post and some discussion about this, but my Oncologist suggested a low dose of
Ritalin
to ward off some of the fatigue and brain fog I was having from Firmagon and Zytiga. I had been reluctant to take "another pill" that comes with more side effects...so I said not for me.

We are medically managing his ADHD with
Ritalin
. Most of dysregulation tends to happen at school.

ADHD with Aggressive Physical Violence
The Dr's first tried
Ritalin
but that gave her severe anxiety. beginning in the 2nd grade her emotional disregulation started going to another level. She started becoming physically violent towards me (only me) hitting, kicking, biting, scratching, spitting, and just recently breaking things.

Medicate until they stop eating?
So right now we are at 20 mg of extended release
Ritalin
(called Metadate or something like that) and it seems to me like she is getting more anxious and having some trouble falling asleep at night.

What was I prescribed?
I found a pharmacy that has brand
Ritalin
in stock. But not 20mg which is what I have been taking. They said they have brand 10 mg tablets. Does anyone know if a pale green 10mg tablet with CIBA on one side and 3 on the other is generic or brand? Also what does methylphenidate hydrochloride mean

My Story
One of them was
Ritalin
which I was put on until I was sixteen. When I was sixteen, I was told by medical professionals that ADHD in adults doesn't exist and that my treatment would stop. Unfortunately, a year later I left home and moved to London and got on with my life as an adult.
