Awful bloating!
Was diagnosed with ibs a while ago (as well as suspected endometriosis which I know can cause bloating) but since around October time last year I've been getting more and more bloated to the point now people are starting to think I'm hiding a pregnancy! I already cut out gluten, dairy, red meat, alcohol

Mintec capsules...What's your opinion?
I got prescribed Mintec capsules for my IBS yesterday as I told my doctor I've been having pain in the lower left of my abdomen for a few months now. I thought I had an ovarian cyst or something but she believes it to be my bowel so she's prescribed me these pills to see if my symptoms improve. I took

IBS related to Endo?
Hi everyone, I've just been to see my GP as I'm really suffering. I'm due to have my 6th Zoladex injection in 2 weeks time - then planning a lap... however since having my 5th injection I feel like it completely stopped working, I take HRT along side it and even those just don't seem to be working how

Peppermint oil capsules
I have fairly infrequent bouts of IBS and found that no tablets were very effective. Then my GP went to a conference and was shown a video where peppermint oil was sprayed directly into the bowel of a woman patient. He said you could see the inflammation disappearing. He then prescribed Mintec capsules

Away last night for weekend 2 mintec before meal. 3 am diarhorrea, ? Lopermide as a preventative when eating out in social settings
I was up for 90 minutes with 6 or 7 episodes. If I lie down thinking it is over, my goodness it starts again. It is as if lying down stretches the gut. Off on a train trip for work tomorrow so will take lopermide tonight. Any ideas? Should I take lopermide before a meal out. Something irritated me and

Confused :( super allergic to gluten but negative result for CD and then told to just get on with it!? Do I get a second opinion? x
Hi, I'm very confused... I've been poorly for over 7 years since the birth of my second baby, stupidly I've never done anything about it until recently because the symptoms of wheat gluten were just getting silly. Constant unbearable Migraines, bloating, weight gain, cramps, aches pains, tingling in

IBS and back pain
Hi all, I have suffered from IBS for a numer of years and this has been confirmed by my consultant, who said he had never met anyone with such a sensitive bowel in all his years of practise. It tends to be stress related mainly. I have been under considerable stress of late and it has flared up yet

Are professionals sufficiently concerned about extra-thoracic tuberculosis?
When I was treated in 2000 I was prescribed Rifater for 2 months followed by Rifinah for 4 months. According to NICE Clinical Guideline 117 I should have had Ethambutol for the first 2 months as well. I never felt the disease really left me. I have nodes all over now but my GP and local consultant
