Feeling overwhelmed
After a routine lung screening CT scan I was diagnosed with mild emphysema and some calcification of my heart arteries. I was also referred for a further high definition CT Scan to confirm bronchiectasis. My GP prescribed Salamol which did nothing to help the breathlessness and chest tightness I'd been

Discussion with pharmacist
Last Friday when I went to collect my prescription I was told by the pharmacist that she had requested my prescription be reviewed. Apparently Incruse Ellipta and Montelukast should not be on prescription together (I'm also on the high dose Relvar). She wanted to know what I was being treated for Copd

hello to everybody! First time I’ve posted on any forum. I had a bout of breathlessness approx 2 years ago, with a chest infection. Had a chest X-ray & was told by Dr I have Copd. Was put on annoro ellipta with blue rescue inhaler. I am 61 years old, a self employed joiner by trade & still working.

Hi happy New Year to you all. I was diagnosed with severe COPD 6 years ago age 61 , I never really had any symptoms at that time or for 4 years after that. However 2 years ago I moved from a London suburb to the east of England and my symptoms have materialised very quickly. It can be quite frightening

Yendo’s history with lung problems.
Diagnosed with asthma in 1972 and started on Ventolin. In 1987 I was rushed to hospital after suffering a severe asthma attack caused after taking two aspirin pills. Previously, I had been taking aspirin for years with no adverse reactions, but I was told that allergies can begin at any time of life.

Anoro
A few weeks ago I had a text to arrange my annual COPD review. This is normally with the practice nurse who can prescribe medications too. I was surprised to be given a Doctor appointment. I am mild COPD and was taking Salmeterol and Carbocisteine. It seemed quite effective. The doctor advised that I

There is hope!
Back in August 2023 I was diagnosed with asthma and maybe COPD. A Feno test revealed very high inflammation at 166, FEV1 had fallen to 64%, with FEV1/FVC ratio at 58%. After three months on Fostair 100/6 and Incruse Ellipta my latest Feno test yesterday registered 32 and my FEV1 is now 107%, with

Lung Cancer Treatment
Have been diagnosed with lung cancer again (but now on the right), 6 years later, but this time they think caused by the radiotherapy I had for the breast cancer! The Migraine Journey!
Hello Community Fam, hooray it's Friday. I wanted to know if anyone is currently taking Nurtec for migraines. I had to titrate off of Topiramate -due to my Kidney Stone nightmare in January. I tried Qulipta initially, but had an unfavorable reaction (i.e. nausea, shaking) and discontinued use.. My migraines

Odd episode.
This am: took my meds (nothing new), used my new but long prescribed Anoro. Then had breakfast. Suddenly, during breakfast, felt very ill, gasping for breath and all over body aching. Had to lie down. Tested: temperature 36.1; pulse 80; but oxygen saturation just 88. Used Salmon inhaler (prompted

Qulipta and weight loss
I switched to Qulipta 60 mg every day instead of a monthly injection of Aimovig after a significant uptick in migraines following an ablation for AFIB. I noticed my appetite was curbed about 30 days after starting the medication, but it wasn't until I weighted myself and I was down 6 pounds did I connect

Ticklish nose
I seem to have made good progress with my asthma symptoms since starting on Fostair 100/6 and Incruse Ellipta four weeks ago: no mucus, no wheeze, no cough after eight months of the very opposite. Lung function tests tomorrow should tell me whether the high levels of airway inflammation has responded

Costochondritis
I had a bad cough with a chest infection (in my opinion). The third time this year. On previous 2 occasions, I was given 30mg pred per day for 5 days and an antibiotic, and chest cleared each time. I have been in contact with covid, but have not had +ve test. This time I was not given, I was refused

New Inhalers
Last month I couldn't breathe - ended up in hospital for 11 days! I was diagnosed with COPD 7 years ago & had a lung wedge for cancer 6 years ago. Now have had x-ray, CT & PET scan - my inhaler was changed from Ultibrow to Anoro - & I now have Easyinhaler instead of ventolin. Also put me on Carbocisteine
