The Migraine Journey!

Hello Community Fam, hooray it's Friday. I wanted to know if anyone is currently taking Nurtec for migraines. I had to titrate off of Topiramate -due to my Kidney Stone nightmare in January. I tried Qulipta initially, but had an unfavorable reaction (i.e. nausea, shaking) and discontinued use.. My migraines are very few, and I feel pretty good (🙏) after almost two months. If anyone else takes Nurtec - please share with me if you don't mind. Thanks. NeeC

I have been and currently take Nurtec. Of the many rescue medications I've been on, I like it the best.

No, issues with it for me. It stops the attack quickly and only a bit sleepy.

My daughter uses it, and after years of migraine, this is the first medication that works and doesn’t give her nasty side effects.

Yes, it is really helping me; no noticable side effects... little sleepy.

Wife was prescribed Nurtec and neuro gave her free samples that worked great. Unfortunately insurance wouldn’t pay for it. I’m guessing because it worked…

Please don't give up! Contact your wife's doctor and have them plead your case to the pharma! In some situations denials can be overrided. Prayers and Blessings. NeeC

I can't sat anything about nurtec, nice to see you on again. I go through my periods of off and on again. I'm jealous cause I wanna be able to find the same space as you are... grateful.
