Why am I still classed ss having heart desease?
I had one stent fitted 23 years ago. Since then I have climbed some of the most difficult mountains in the UK. I've completed 6 half marathons. Go on walking holidays twice each year. I continued going to the gym twice a week until I was 70 (I'm now 75). The only reason I stopped going to the gym was

The main underlying health condition in men under 65 dying from coronavirus is ischmaetic heart disease.
I have just read an analysis published in the Daily Mail online about underlying health conditions and mortality in covid 19 patients in the UK. For men under 65 the main condition was ischmaetic heart disease. Just wondered if anyone aged under 65 and male and had a bypass or stent had received a shielding

Feeling abandoned
I had a heart attack on 20th march just as the covid 19 epidemic blew up. I was in hospital for 5 days but didn't need a stent. I was discharged as having an nstemi and sent home with a big bag of pills and a wave. Now I know everything was in a state of flux and noone really knew what was happening

New here, advice needed...
My 53 year husband had a heart attack in November and had 2 stents fitted. An admin omission led to no referral for any follow up or rehab care. His referrals have also been "lost" twice since then so as a result he is still waiting for a further stent to be fitted. We were relieved to have a date later

Mini Stroke?
Hi Strange thing happened Friday. Nearly 1 year post Stemi heart attack and stent, 7 months post GI bleed, had strange moment. Wife was talking about her sisters whom I have known for over 30 years. For the life of me I could not place their name anywhere! This went on for about 5 minutes with the wife

HA, stents & pericarditis
Hi - I am new to the forum, I had a HA 5 weeks ago out of the blue (42, fit, moderately healthy lifestyle, non smoker and no family history). I had 4 stents fitted in a lower marginal artery... pardon my ignorance on the terminology, in simple terms and from the images I was shown I had a blockage

Sharp stabbing pains after HA
Hi everyone It’s been nearly 4 weeks since my HA and stent in RCA. I seem to be recovering ok (apart from the anxiety we all go through) but I am getting occasional sharp pains (lasts a second) in my chest particularly if I am exercising. No other symptoms. Does anyone else experience the same?? Any

Thoughts and changes
I’m thinking of having a nice glass of wine soon but every time I try something I’ve not yet done since having my stent I panic a little but I know once I’ve had one I will be ok then and not worry when I next have another.... but it seems to me like from now on everything I want to do....is it going

What do you think?

B12 and Vitamin D3 supplements
I have a low Vitamin D count (38 I think) and I also have a B12 deficiency. I use to get a regular B12 injection every 3 months (coming up next week) but have been worrying about whether it can interfere with my drugs and current condition. B12 especially I need as I collapsed in the past due to symptoms

Post stent exercise
Age 66, been going to gym for 9 months, walking, boxercise, never felt better, eating well etc. ......then suffered mild heart attack, had 1 stent fitted, now taking usual post stent meds. Obviously going to listen to Cardiac Rehab team, but can’t help wondering how it’s going to affect future fitness

Breathless after ICD/pacemaker
Since my stent in October 2019 & then the ICD 6 weeks later, I have been breathless and had swollen ankles, neither of which I had before. I had my first MOT on my ICD in January and told the technician of my situation. She told me this would be addressed at my next visit in April, but this has now been
