Severe Asthma, Bronchial Thermoplasty?
I am on spiriva, dulera,
QVAR
, montelukast, xyzal, Dupixent shots, and daily prednisone of 15 mg for now. My pulmonologist basically said there’s nothing more to do. When I need it, I have albuterol inhalers and albuterol nebulizer. I have been feeling poorly for weeks.

What are your triggers for asthma attacks?
I've been on
Qvar
for nearly 3 weeks and I'm still needing my salbutamol, 2 puffs 4 times a day with wheezing and shortness of breath in between doses.

Suspected Covid, now on Salamol & Qvar, questions
I understand from the leaflet that the
Qvar
is intended to replace the salbutamol, but on bad days the reliever only lasts a couple of hours.

I have a blue Salbutamol inhaler and was originally given a brown
QVAR
inhaler but after a few weeks this seems to have had less impact. My Asthma Nurse has changed my brown inhaler to a pink Fostair inhaler which I’ve been taking for the past couple of days. My symptoms aren’t better.

Bronchiectasis and allergic to certain antibiotics
Plus use
Qvar
inhaler and gargle after inhalation as it can lead to thrush in the throat which I had once - is this the same bug and if so should I keep using the inhaler or is it different once it goes in our lungs? Thank you and hope everyone is doing well :)

I am 65 years old and take

Self isolating query
I had been on numerous steroid inhalers leading upto the consultant, they put me on
qvar
100 2 puffs. Following this period i had a really good year whereby i *thought* i didnt need inhalers and basically stopped the steroid.

Vulnerable group self isolation form for employee to give employer
He’s upped my
qvar
to 4 puffs 4 times a day for a week and then revert to 2 puffs 2 times a day if asthma goes back to normal . If it doesn’t then I’m to contact him again.

Define severe asthma
Right now the only inhaler I take is the
qvar
daily and ventolin when needed. However, in the last 4-5 months I've had several doses of steroid tablets and also a hospital visit for a nebuliser. Prior to this though I was controlled for around 10 years! So am I classed as severe asthma?

Some advice on self isolating please.
I have a
Qvar
preventer inhaler and the usual blue inhaler. I normally have to take my blue inhaler 2-3 times a day. I always end up with chest infections when I get a cold and was really poorly when I contracted normal flu about 6 years ago. I now get called for the annual flu jab.

Scared of taking prednisolone
Also told me to change my inhaler from
Qvar
to Fostair. However I’ve read some reviews and have had friends tell me they felt so bad on prednisolone that it’s made me scared to take them. I have had depression and have anxiety and I really don’t want them to make me feel any worse.

Trouble sleeping
I’m wondering if it’s due to reducing my
qvar
. I’m not sure if this could be reflux as well cause the symptoms are so weird. Anyone know what this could be?

Finally seem to be improving.
I am 55 and have been struggling with a yearlong plus flare up that hasn't resolved despite the usual treatment with inhaled steroids (
Qvar
). A couple of additional things have really helped and perhaps worth considering. FIrst, I went on spiriva.

Fostair 200 Dummy...
On the suggestion of a consultation, the
Qvar
was changed to a Fostaire 200/6 (2x2 puffs am and pm).

Recovering from asthma attack
Things calmed and I was discharged with
QVAR
and salbutamol inhaler My reliance on the salbutamol inhaler has come down, on discharge I needed it every 4hrs. I used it 3 times (4hrs a part) yesterday And finally my questions- is this normal, is my use of salbutamol post attack ok?

We’ve been through the ‘let’s try this’ scenario that has included prednisone, Ventolin and

.
