Husband's COPD getting much worse - needs help
I apologise in advance for the length of this post but I am desperate and lost. Any advice is welcome. My husband has severe COPD and I am really concerned about him. He is 52 and was diagnosed several years ago. He still smokes around one cigarette’s worth of tobacco a day but is increasingly struggling

FeNO score
Hi everyone I have another query as a fairly recent diagnosed asthmatic. After three asthma exacerbations in three weeks I was lucky to have an appointment with my respiratory consultant just to check what was going on and whether it was asthma or my bronchiectasis. When I did the FeNO I scored 51 so

Anybody on Incruse Ellipta getting urinary infections?
Hi, I have been on Incruse Ellipta since early November last year, as an "add on" treatment prescribed by my Respiratory consultant. Have had the occasional issue with painful urination, but now started with full on UTI which needs antibiotics. Has anybody else had similar issues, and how have you managed

Phone consult with Chest Consultant
Finally got to speak with my chest consultant yesterday, who I last saw 11yrs ago. Poor bloke sounded SO tired, bless him, bet his hospital is beginning to fill up with more Covid Cases🙁. He agreed with me that my asthma had been sliding downhill, given an extra push by a recent viral chest infection

Medication
Hi everyone,I’d be grateful for any input. I’ve changed to Relvar Ellipta this week from Symbicort. I’m experiencing multiple side effects such as unstable blood sugars, continual nausea, skin irritation. Has anyone had a similar experience and do these go away. Thanks in advance

Phlegm obstructing airways
Since taking montelukast it has partially dried up my chest but now I’m however unable to fully clear my chest from phlegm due to this which make me feel as it’s obstructing the airways. My asthma isn’t great at present either which is getting sorted with Relvar Ellipta hopefully. Sadly huffing techniques

Help needed! Asthma or not?
Hi there, I'm currently struggling with my health and need someone's insight. It all started after undefined virus infection beginning of March 2020. I had fever, sore throat, tight and burning chest, difficulties to breath and sleep. The fever was gone after two and the half weeks but I never

Phone review
Had my copd phone review with the GP nurse ... I scored 0 on the charts but she then asked had I considered taking anoro rather than spiriva respimat. Why fix something when it's not broke and try to change you from one thing to another.. its beyond me I told her I didn't like a powder inhaler but she

This has probably already been asked somewhere...
Hi All, I've been really struggling the last few days with SOB and worse coughing than normal (and that's saying something for both lol). Have been taking my Salbutamol, Anoro Ellipta and Spiriva Respimat but I've got a very metallic/blood like taste whenever I'm coughing at the moment. Haven't had that

Hi Everyone
Hi All, I'm new to this, both in terms of the site and COPD. I've (due to COVID-19 outbreak) got a 'working diagnosis' of COPD, I'm unable to have a Spirometry done at the moment to confirm the diagnosis. Both the GP and my nurse have agreed it is a case of purely establishing what stage I am at, rather

Lifelong asthmatic
Hi, I'm a lifelong asthmatic and until fairly recently didn't realise that my asthma is severe. It also seems that I probably have bronchiectasis - diagnosis incomplete due to the advent of coronavirus. What I don't understand is why some medical people are not concerned about when my peak flow drops

Relvar ellipta, Montelukast should I be shielding?
Hi, I know there have been a lot of similar questions but with the ever changing advice I’m feeling utterly confused. I take Relvar Ellipta 184/22, montelukast and salbutamol as needed. From what I can figure I think that means I should shield? Interpreting the guidelines when you don’t know the medication
