Vyvanase
My doctor is changing my prescription from 30mgs of Adderall XR to 50mgs of Vyvanase. I was wondering if there was anyone here who has taken the drug and what there experience was while taking it?

Adderall
I'm reaching out again to hear from the community. My 8 yr old grandson was prescribed Adderall XR 10mg for his ADHD, and although at home and his teacher at school saw a reduction in his impulsivity and improvements in recall, we felt that at home there was an increase in his irritability and aggression

Adderall XR Nationwide Shortage
This morning I was informed by my pharmacist that there is a national shortage of Adderall XR due to several factors. While it is debatable as to whether or not the medication was truly helping to alleviate my symptoms (I take 30 mgs of XR, which I feel is too low) I was wondering what other medications

Different manufacturers’s generic Adderalls work differently to you as well?
I started to take generic Adderall xr 10mg and I felt very good. One day, my pill was changed to a different manufacturer’s ones and I started to feel terrible. I have a dull headache and I lost motivation and focus. My food craving is back. I feel like I don’t want to do anything but I want to stay

Med Check Visits
We recently switched to a high deductible insurance plan with my husband's new job. He and my 2 sons all have ADHD and take Adderall XR and Concerta. With our old insurance they just saw their primary care doctor's 4 times a year to manage their medications. With our new insurance those visits are

Irritable on Adderall XR
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and started on 10mg Adderall xr and everything was going well for about a month. Then I started to feel very irritated by everyone. I would snap at my husband and daughter for every little thing. It got so bad I just stopped taking my meds but now I’m back to my old

Help for a Newbie!
Hi all! While looking for ADHD resources, I came across this site- and am so thankful! I am 36 and received my diagnosis at 35 after years of telling doctors that there had to be an overarching reason for all of the symptoms that were bothering me! I was told it was because I’m a mom, and diagnosed

Has anyone taken the GeneSight test? What was your experience, was it helpful for your medication management?
I just received a copy of my GeneSight test results in advance of an appointment with my psychiatrist. I have some preliminary ideas as to how to interpret and use this info. Some background: I have Bipolar II and ADHD-C. I've been on 18mg of Concerta since January 2021, until the last couple of months

Decision to medicate
Hi, I wanted to share my experience for anyone out there who might be on the fence about medicating. I am not a doctor or an expert. I’m just sharing my personal experience. My son was diagnosed with severe ADHD, anxiety and OCD. They also recommended further testing for Autism spectrum disorder.

ADHD and Addictions
A couple of quick questions: First, has anyone ever had an issue where they feel that their doctor has them on too low a dosage and refuses to increase it claiming that anything above my dosage increases my chances of developing side effects? I am currently on 30 mgs (which, to be fair is, several milligrams

Questioning NP aversion to stimulant medication for 12yr old
Our 12 year old is newly diagnosed ADHD combination in December. This came after my own diagnosis at age 35 last summer. My own journey to diagnosis and freedom from previous weight of medication-managed anxiety and depression has been amazing. I have gradually eliminated and am weaning off medications

ADHD Medication Costs
Is anyone else seeing big swings in medication costs month to month? I try not to stress over the price of medications because I consider them to be necessities. They help my son feel better and as a result, our family time is more peaceful on most days. Instead of stressing over the price, I tell

Starting Zoloft and a new job... when to take adderall again?
Hey yall! So I’ve been taking Adderall XR (15mg) and prescribed IR to take when needed for adhd (inattentive). The combo works well for me but my psych put me on Zoloft to get a handle on my depression. We tried wellbutrin which felt like magic but I was getting some of the serious/rare side effects

Inattentive ADD - trying to find right medication - stimulants make her defiant and avoid schoolwork, nonstimulants haven’t been successful
My 9yo daughter has inattentive ADD and we are struggling to find the right medication. I homeschool as well - so I see for myself how the different meds manifest. After daytrana patch (or adderall XR at a different time) - refuses to do schoolwork, is defiant to me and is rude to her little sister

Need Suggestions for Improving Sleep Behavior
My 8 yo son has ADHD, emphasis on impulsiveness and hyperactivity. For roughly the last 6 months, he has been awaking in the middle of the night and remaining awake for hours. Here's his background: At least 1-2 times per week, he will wake up and remain awake for several hours. Often it's because

Feeling confused
Recently diagnosed with adult ADHD-inattentive type. I was previously treated for depression by a nurse practitioner with no big difference in mood and constant daily mood swings. I just saw a psychiatrist and after evaluation she believes I have adhd and my mood swings only happen when I am very overwhelmed

Dealing with a 6yo with EXTREME behavior disorders
Our son is 6 and has received numerous diagnosis over the years ranging from ODD, SPD, Severe ADHD and mild Autism. He also struggles with Anxiety. We knew there was something unique about him around his first birthday and he has been in therapy since he was 2, medicated starting at 3. We had him on
