Quillivant XR

I noticed this also with short act Focalin, but more since starting Quillivant XR. She seems more short fused with frustration than previously (noted with both Focalin and Quillivant XR. ) When these concerns were mentioned to the psychiatrist, she switched from Focalin to Quillivant XR.

Our 6 yr old refuses to take Quillivant XR some mornings. She says it causes her to lose self control, increase anxiety. Not in these exact words but similar. What do we do?

The psychiatrist recommended adding in Abilify to already low dose Quillivant XR. I believe she's showing signs of anxiety tied to previous school trauma, but the psychiatrist recommended Abilify over Prozac because it has a quicker onset of action.

We went back to her psychiatrist and he recommended we get her on Quillivant XR. My fear is that she will develop an addiction or be more prone to one in her adult life if we start her on meds at this age. What’s your experience with this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello,My child has been taking Quillivant XR for the past 5 weeks. Initially she was ok with the flavor, but then refused it. I made a simple syrup using regular sugar, the flavored with vanilla. It works but was short lived. I found a natural cherry syrup and was using that with the Quillivant.
