CT Scan and follow up's.
Hi In 2011 I had a CT Scan which identified a mass of Bullouis Emphysema top right upper lung and some in the left lung, I had a Sprimority test in jULY 2012 which read FEV1 79% doc said very mild. I'M not on meds and feel fine I think, this March I shall be 2 years smoke free. Doc said come back

Lung Transplant
I signed on the dotted line to add my name to the waiting list for a double lung swap. This was on 30th Sept last year. No one knows how long you may have to wait or even if a suitable donor will ever be found. The tragedy is someone suitable has to die in order for me to get new lungs. Four weeks

Ventolin and Mind Games
I'll start by saying I don't like using my reliever. Not that it causes side effects. Just because I'm not a fan of taking medicine in general. I'm the sort of person who prefers to wait out a headache rather than take aspirin. About two three weeks ago, my doctor gave me a “lecture” on why I should

Inhaler help please
I was diagnosed with COPD about two years ago and my current FEV1 was 67%. ( I am having my annual check this week). I am also ex forces and have suffered with PTSD for about 25 years. I am on Symbicort (preventer) and Sabutamol ( reliever) inhalers. I really try to avoid using the reliever as it speeds

My test results.
PR 83, SPO2 98 % FEV1 0.89 (39%), FVC 1.82 (63 %) PEF 1.08 (15%), FER 48.9 MEF 0.65 (27 %), MVV 33.4 (39%), FET 5.37 What is the interpretation of these readings? Do I have COPD if so to what degree? How can I improve the above results? Thanks in advance

New Inhaler question.
I've been given a new inhaler and my breathing seems to be much clearer, do you think this could improve my fev1 result next time I have a spiromerty test ? Does anyone have any experience of this or is this just wishful thinking on my part....? Ps it's a take as needed type. Kindest regards warren

Suntan Sea and ICU
Due to my falling stats I was told to put on a large cylindrical clear
pvc
hood so they could put more Oxygen into me. I am afraid that it was not long before I had to have it taken off. I was so hot it was making me feel even worse. It was not long after that I was taken to ITU I went Blue.

Fev1 percentage drop?
Hello, although I understand that fev1 will decline in people with copd at what rate does it decline ? Mine own fev1 as stayed pretty much the same for the last few years give or take 1 or 2% I think this maybe due to my age, I am 43, can I expect to see a faster decline as I get older or is
