Break from ADT or not?
The
PSA
is 0.025. Your expertise and advice are greatly appreciated. Should my Dad continue with all 3 Lupron/Zytiga/Prednisone or should he continue only with Lupron or should he take a break from all 3? Thank you SO MUCH ❤️

Prolonged Fasting to reduce prostate cancer and vitamin B12's effect on raising PSA.
No doctor ever discussed this relationship between B12 and
PSA
. You do hear about Biotin reducing the ability to accurately detect
PSA
in blood but not anything about B12 unfortunately.

What Treatment - Or No Treatment Advice?
PSA
13.2. 14mm T2 tumour seemingly confined to left side of prostate - still awaiting biopsy and thus Gleason - HOLEP 11 years ago. - prostate 36cc. Considering average lifespan, and QOL issues of treatment what would be advised?

4k before targeted biopsy?
When my
PSA
went up to 7 my Urologist did a biopsy. No fun. Found a spot that was analyzed as pre-cancerous. 6 months later
PSa
is 11 and wants a directed biopsy. I did the MRI to prepare but life got in the way for 5 months. I found out about a 4k test that might show the presence of cancer.

Anyone have experience with Provenge? Especially on PSA tests?
My was
PSA
lowered to less than 1. Initial PET scan found no spreading cancer, however a PSMA scan in Oct 2022 found cancer spreading to lymph nodes but no other organs. For the past several months my
PSA
has been rapidly rising, doubling approximately every month .

Eligard for me= poison
When getting Eligard shots after prostatectomy and radiation it was holding
PSA
level down. It also turned my thoughts angry and disgruntled. Doctor Larock from Mattapoisett is treating me with Flutamide and Bicalutimide 1 pill day each. Thanks Jesus I can write this and feel pretty good for 75.

Docetaxel after rising PSA
Hi, Normally I will begin a docetaxel cure (6 x 3 weeks) in a few months (
PSA
is rising a lot after 4 years of Zytiga). Do you have an idea of the efficacity ratio of such a treatment ? Thx

Final Path Report After RALP (Dad - 74, G7- 4+3) , what’s next ?
With the above should we be considering waiting on the
PSA
results or proactively consider ADT + Radiation as an option. We are now meeting a medical oncologist next week to go over these reports to understand next steps. Thank you again for your help.

2 years into Stage 4 Treatment
Overall he has tolerated the treatments well and is feeling good and his
PSA
has remained undetectable. He has a doctor appointment with the oncologist this week and my father told me they are planning on discontinuing ADT and will monitor his
PSA
every 3 months.

Emotional lability and LT ADT
At certain times of extra stress, like awaiting a
PSA
test result, I have gotten into wrist-slap trouble by making awkward humor and remarks to Clinic staff. They get PO'ed and tattle to my MO. It's really not like me and the latest incident prompted me to look into ADT and emotional SE's.

CDK12 gene mutation
He is 17 months into treatment with undectable
psa
. If it were not for the jaw pain, we would be very encouraged. We are anxious to get the biopsy done on the jaw so we can know what we are dealing with.

Spot Radiation before Pluvicto?
Mr.Spouse was high Gleason, low
PSA
(3.38) at dx, 100% cores GL 9 with some 8s. Except for one brief uptick in ALP (63) in 2018, blood tests are always within normal range. Latest ALP a couple weeks ago was 43.

Good News Update on my Joe
His
PSA
dropped from 7.69 last month to 4.88 this month. He experiences fatigue, which is remedied by dexamethasone on the days he has something he wants to do. Otherwise, he sleeps. No other side effects worth mentioning at this time. I asked for PSMA and FDG (?)

PSA results & supplements
It does seem in some cases to impact
PSA
results on testing but is this actually impacting the PCa cells or just the expression of
PSA
? I used to take curcumin for another condition and stopped it (and all supplements) during RT.

MSK Consult Today
He believes that with my husband’s initial high
psa
(47), and subsequent stage 3b with Gleason 9, that these nodes may have already been positive at dx, but that they were too small for a CT scan or MRI to detect. The neoadjuvant 3 month Lupron put them to sleep.

Side Effects at 1 year
Current
PSA
.09 For past 3 weeks, I have noticed that I am experiencing what I believe are more severe side effects. Today, for the first time, I had to drop out of a Pickleball match because of how bad I was feeling. Took a Covid test which was negative.

Locally Advanced PC - should I accept offer of docetaxel?
Future monitoring will keep an eye on signs of any subsequent rise in
PSA
and should that occur, I'd think again about treatment options and be prepared to have chemo then if deemed necessary.
