Into the Great Unknown
At 57 when diagnosed (
PSA
5.2, Gleason 4+3, one affected pelvic lymph node per PSMA PET scan), our plan was to throw the kitchen sink at my PCa and see if we can’t knock it out.

How long does this process take?
3) How frequently will I have to do lab work (ie check
PSA
levels, anemia, cholestrol, white blood count, glucose, etc) 4) I'm assuming I'll need a bone density scan somewhere along the way to ensure no major osteoporis or to correct if there is. Yes/no?

Heidelberg
we just had our appointment with the doc in Heidelberg, the 4 week Proton treatment seemed to have worked, the
PSA
went from 0,7 to 0,2. During the radiation, they ran a pet scan twice a week. My husband had no negative side effects with this radiation, life quality was good.

How fast should your PSA drop after the first ADT treatment.
How fast should his
PSA
drop. How will we know if this is working. I know this treatment is to slow this down and the out look is three years or so if he is responding to this. This is all new as of March this year so not even sure of questions to ask.

Firmagon and PSA
Good news my
PSA
went from 14.5 to .89 and Testosterone dropped to 7 after first treatment. I am scheduled for radiation treatment the end of April. I read your Post daily and I’m amazed at the strength everyone shows here in their struggles . I hope that today is a good day for all.

pSMA scan question
Also when
psa
goes up does that necessarily mean there are new metastasis or can it just means same ones are active again?

Referral in Buffalo NY
He has not yet been diagnosed with PCA but his
PSA
has doubled from 3 to 6.0 in the past 6 months. I am just wondering if anybody in the Buffalo area has an Oncologist/Urologist that they would recommend. Thank You for any suggestions

Post Xofigo, where do we go from here?
However my
PSA
has bounced around from the mid 40"s to 70 and the last 2 jumping to 124 and 144 respectively.I've been told that the
PSA
jump following Xofigo is normal and that after 3 or 4 months things start to reflect normal activity.

To treat or not to treat
By March 2020 this had caused my
PSA
to drop to virtually undetectable and I decided to come off ADT which I had been on (with some breaks) since April 2011 after RRP and RT to the prostate bed. Prior to radiotherapy ADT was ceasing to be effective and my
PSA
had risen to 6.75.

PSA after the radical prostatectomy
I am sill wondering why my
PSA
does not drop to near zero after radical prostatocmy. My original
PSA
was 28 and MRI found something suspicious. The surgeon I saw booked a date for removal operation without doing biopsy.

I just don't know...
Now with rising
PSA
. 1. No evidence of local recurrence in the surgical resection bed. 2. No suspicious PSMA avid lymphadenopathy. 3. Progression of patient's known ossious metastasis with interval development of multiple new PSMA avid sclerotic osseous metastases.

Deciding between HIFU and LDR BT
PSA
3.0. I am 55 and healthy otherwise. Targeted fusion biopsy returned 5 cores from identified left-side lesion all 80-100% cancer with 5% type 4. Overall, 9 of 12 cores over came back positive and both sides of prostate but lower volume on right-side and no 4 found on right-side.

Worsening Stress Incontinence 20 Months After Surgery?
My
PSA
is 0.02. My best guess is that physical shape has a direct impact on incontinence post-surgery and it mainly because I'm not as in as good of shape as I was when my continence was better?
