copper chelation is not something from the past: phase 2 trial gives hope!
Twenty-seven percent of participants showed reductions in

Bone pain, what next?
For over 2 years my scans show no radiographic progression despite a rising
PSA
, now at 43. However I am now experiencing periodic bone pain in the left hip area, mainly when I climb stairs. Tolerable but a worrying development.

Good News! Pluvicto Update
The news seems promising: On 28 January (after docetaxel, but before Pluvicto), my
PSA
was 36.2. After 2 rounds of Pluvicto on 8 April, my
PSA
had dropped to 14.5! So, I am remaining positive! I have a follow up PSMA-PET scan scheduled 17 May.

PSA Gone Up
In November 2023, I had my first
PSA
test since SRT and it was .008 ng/mL. I just got another
PSA
test yesterday and the number has gone up to .015 ng/mL. Should I be worried?

PCA Cure and when?
PSA
is 0 on ADT and Abiraterone and methylprednisolone. Averaged 8,600 steps/day. I have just started to add occasional sprinting. I am taking multiple supplements. I am greatful that my
PSA
is 0. I work everyday and pray for a cure. What is our best hope for a cure and when?

At the crossroads (again)
. & today show progression along with
PSA
rise. All my mets are in bone. So, my SOC choices are cabazataxel or radium 223. Other options are trial, which are a crapshoot or go overseas for Actinium. BTW, diagnosed less than 2 years ago with denovo high volume metastatic, Gleason 4 & 5,
PSA
28.2.

Eligard and bicalutamide.
Anxious to begin sustained exercise, essential for osteoporosis, though still recovering from breakage. 2022 to 2024
PSA
remains at 0.01. Good luck.

All
PSA
testing from oncologist has ranged from .04 to .05. Why not have my internist take my
PSA
yearly? Or is going to my oncologist for testing the better way to go?

Morgentaler Saturation Model: PSA vs Testosterone - Estrogen Patch vs Lupron ADT
The assumption that a
PSA
value is proportional to Prostate Growth rate may not be correct.

Pet Scan = "disease not detected"
7 weeks of radiation,
PSA
drops and holds at >0.01 (undetectible), stays that way for a year, we stop the Lupron,
PSA
stays at that less than 0.01 for right at a year and starts a slow climb, at 0.8 I start zityga and prednisone, this lasts about 4 weeks,
PSA
back at that undetectable range BUT, my

Mortality Probability after first PSA rise vs non-castrate testosterone levels (low vs Normal)
At 5 years after first
PSA
failure, the prostate specific mortality rate is about 7% for normal T, versus 58% for "Low" T. That's a huge difference, which only gets larger with longer time. The paper also reports that the
PSA
doubling time is 2.8 months for Low-T and 10.6 months for Normal-T.

Scans other than PSMA for PC
My husband’s
PSA
continues to rise yet his PSMA scans are all clear. His last PSMA was late October with a
PSA
of 4.7 His
PSA
today was 6.5 It seems I have noted on this forum some other type scans should be done besides PSMA. His ALK PHOSPHATE is 85 (normal) Calcium levels all normal.

Life Expectancy
His
PSA
dropped to 0.001, prompting his medical oncologist to recommend a medication vacation. For two years, he had
PSA
tests every three months, and everything seemed stable. However, recently his
PSA
jumped to 0.4, and a scan detected one spot on his rib.

Rising PSA
A gradual increase in
PSA
(1.2) with the prospect of changes to treatment if it continues at the current rate and gets near to 4. The oncologist is suggesting probably chemo but I would like to know more about other options before that discussion so that I am prepared.

Finasteride: "Miracle drug" regrows hair, heals prostate, and also boosts heart health ByEric Ralls Earth.com
My
PSA
a year ago was 1.4 just before the prostate cancer irradiation. The
PSA
dropped in 6 months after radiation from 1.2 to 0.25 and now is on the fast rise. Last
PSA
was 3. What is my status? Am I still polimetastatic or maybe oligo metastatic or just none metastatic crpc in my prostate?
