PSA bounce after LDR brachytherapy?
Would my
PSA
be considered to be relatively stable and staying the same? Or was/is there real movement here?

ISO a third MO opinion for my dad
After radical - was told no treatment necessary and lo and behold January the following year
psa
went from .04 to 1.2 in 3 months. Put on adt and zytiga (not sure of spelling), scans show pelvic bed spots and 1 on s1, radiation summer of 22 and have been undetectable since.

Post RP/SRT Pelvic Mass?
At such low
PSA
it does not seem like there could be a mass of PCa (or even benign prostate tissue) large and solid enough for me to feel just sitting down. What else could it be? Bladder? Rectum?

SIB/Flame Protocol
PSA
was 19.76 (4/2023), then 21.78 (5/2023 to confirm initial
PSA
). He is concerned that the
PSA
does not match the Gleason score (4+3, grade 3) as
PSA
has surpassed 20. Multiplanar MRI and PSMA PET indicated no metastasis.

Quite happy with ADT
Almost 83 years old, living presently in Germany, RT and PT not possible, ADT during the last 9 months (Lupron quarterly),
PSA
down to undetectable, quite happy with that.

CT and Bone Scan 2 weeks after PSMA PET?
For reference, my dad re-did his
PSA
test last Wednesday (Oct/23 - so after a month), which stayed at 0.48. Now, the RO is asking us to do another
PSA
test, CT scan and bone scan, before he can see us. I imagine all this would take another 1 to 1.5 months.

Starting the journey Interested in comments Gleason 5+4 Met to Lymph and Maybe ribs
I have just started this journey, and am deciding on treatments now. 60 years young with a Gleason 5+4
PSA
hovering around 7. My PSMA PET showed one lymph near pelvis for sure, and possibly a rib neat top on left side.

AUS revision surgery?
I have since had undetected
PSA
but have suffered with severe stress incontinence. I had AUS surgery in 2018 but it failed because of erosion. The ensuing three months were the most painful of the journey because I had an indwelling catheter that not only leaked but caused great pain.

"treating PSA" vs "treating cancer" advice
Currently, his MO has him doing blood tests every 3 months and looks at a handful of figures (
PSA
, testosterone, etc.).

Concern - At 4 mo on Lupron/Abi, Testosterone hits 40
While
PSA
was again <.1 yesterday, testosterone jumped to 40 ng/dl or 1.4 nmole/L, which is a big move toward the 1.7 danger zone for faster movement toward CRPC ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5472467/ ) , and I am interested

Treatment options
PSA
was 77 in Jan and dropped to 23 after starting ADT treatment and already feeling better with much less urinary symptoms. I was advised to start radiation treatment but doctor advised to wait for PSMA PET scan (Still waiting for scan).

PSA
18. His clinical dx is T1c. He had 6 out of12 positive biopsies. All were 4+4. 5 were 40% and 1 was 60%. He has the PSMA test on Monday. The doctor doesn’t think it has metastasized but I’m terrified because of the cribriform. Would he just be telling us that now so we don’t worry?

PSA Numbers and 3rd Round of Docetaxel
Before each session they do a blood runup...my
PSA
was .77 before session 2, and .68 before session 3. I was .56 before ANY chemo (but on lupron of course) So, my question is should my
PSA
be dropping right off the map or not?

Rickyfish56 "Introduction"
PSA
in Sept. 2023 was Undetectable. I run 4.5 miles three times a week, casual 2x week weight lifting, trying to get more intense. 12 Grandkids, 1 more on the way, kinda busy, LOL! Feel great, no known side affects, so far.

Cavernous Tumor & Rising PSA
His
PSA
shot up quickly to 17.6 in a week. He starts radiation for the tumor today for two weeks and Monday we meet with the oncologist to discuss Plan B. They are concerned his sodium level is very low so he can’t drink much fluids.
