I had radical
prostatectomy
on 3/23/23 followed by 8 weeks of radiation. Went to urologist specialist and he claims the only option for me is the AMS 800( the so called gold standard). I have to make a decision soon. Can anyone offer any experience with this device? Will my exercise be hampered?

My husband is BRCA2 positive, had a
prostatectomy
, salvage radiation and now his PSA is starting to creep back up. I know it’s too early to take additional treatment steps but we want to get set up with a care center that provides the best/latest treatment options, guidance etc.

Catheter removed today!
My husband had his catheter removed today at 9am following his robotic
prostatectomy
(Retzius sparing) on April 9th. He hasn’t leaked or dribbled at all, but is peeing every hour (with full control). The frequency is alarming though - should he be trying to hold on longer or go with the flow ?

Ct scan of abdomen and pelvis and full body bone scan?
Prostatectomy
was done 9/2015 Gleason 7 (3+4) Stage T2c, N0, MX. My question is this necessary since my PSA has been undetectable since the radiation treatment? Urologist says this is standard of care.... Thank you for any input. I appreciate it. John

Diagnosed with Aggressive Prostate Cancer
I am waiting a Radical Robotic
Prostatectomy
. The waiting is the hard part as I keep thinking if it escapes and spreads, in the meantime, I’m “up the creek!” I’ve been told having this aggressive type of cancer is fairly rare in a 71-year-old guy.

Had appt with urologist, although already stated no surgery
Had appt and the urologist seemed to he trying to persuade me to have
prostatectomy
although I was clear at diagnosis no surgery primarily due to incontinence issues. He said permanent incontinence occurred in less than 5% of cases, I disagreed and said 10/15% is nearer the mark am I correct?

PSA, total
I had a RP June 2023 I just got the results from my forth PSA test the first three were a post
prostatectomy
PSA test and all three were 0.02 this last one was a PSA, total. That’s what the Urologist wanted and it came back 0.10.

Recent diagnosis questions & concerns, please respond to any that you can
The concern is that once extracapsular extension occurs, does the value of
prostatectomy
diminish? Also, once extracapsular extension occurs, is metastasis inevitable?

Satisfaction with AUS after Radiation
I have had both a
prostatectomy
and salvage radiation (see profile). I regained continence after the
prostatectomy
. But about 6 months after the salvage radiation I started leaking due to stress incontinence and it has gotten progressively worse.

Next step options after lupron/zytiga failed
I have been on monthly Lupron for 7 years (starting in 2014) after the spread of prostate cancer to my bones following a
prostatectomy
in 2014. Lupron alone was very effective until December 2021. I then added Zytiga/Prednisone which had worked well.

Month 5 of ORGOVYX
After radical
prostatectomy
and radiation treatment, I’m now on ORGOVYX and my testosterone has decreased from 672 to 11. I’ll be coming off the medication in one month. If anyone has used ORGOVYX, do you stop cold turkey or is there a tapering off of the drug? Thank you.

Is this decision right for me
I had
prostatectomy
in 2009, PSA undetectable until 2017. I had radiation in 2021 to the prostate bed when PSA reached 0.12. 0.12 on 4/28/2021 0.65 on 04/04/2024 using the above values shows a doubling time of 14.4 months. The latest PSA on 06/11/2014 jumped to 1.06.

Hello allI'm 12 weeks in post op since my successful robotic
