Gleeson 9 (5+4), about to get PSA result around 1 year after surgery
Had a
prostatectomy
in mid-2018. Extensive cancer in large-sized prostate with extension to lymph nodes and seminal vesicle - affected nodes and areas removed in surgery. Lab report Gleeson 9 (5+4). PSA soon after surgery was negligible. Awaiting result of PSA blood test (12months after).

Sural Nerve Graft post RP to fix Erectile Dysfunction
Hi guys, I’ve been researching nerve grafting for Erectile dysfunction post radical
prostatectomy
. I just miss the good old days of spontaneity and the Tri-mix injections are...well...just not spontaneous. Do any of you have experience with this procedure?

Would appreciate Your Thoughts
I had a robotic
prostatectomy
in January, 2019. My highest psa prior to surgery was 9.0. The biopsy showed Gleason 9. The preoperative MRI and bone scan did not identify any lymph node or bone involvement.

Erleada failing?
To make a long story short, his
prostatectomy
failed. Lupron worked for about 12-15 months until he became castrate resistant in Dec. 2017. He underwent radiation which didn’t appear to work either.. in Sept. 2018 he began Erleada which was lowered his PSA from 2.3 to 0.21 (as of yesterday).

Treatment Confusion Follow-up/Reply to Tall Allen
Here's why: Current age 78, excellent health otherwise
Prostatectomy
Jan, 2012. Other than gland (3,4) 10% one side, 5% other, T2cNO, all negative. Jan, 2016 PSA 0.2 Jan 2017 PSA 0.3 Apr-June 2017 salvage radiation July 2017 PSA 0.46. RO wanted to start Lupron; I declined.

AMS 800 Urinary Sphincter
My radical
prostatectomy
was in March 2017; in August 2018 I had an AMS 800 urinary sphincter implanted. When I recovered from the implantation I was left with a tiny sore spot on the surface of my scrotum. All three of my urologists are mystified, since the sore spot isn't where the work was done.

PET-CT With 18F-Fluciclovine and 68Ga-PSMA-11 in Patients With Early Biochemical Recurrence After Prostatectomy

Successful Recurrent Treatment - So Far
Thought I would share an update to forum members as I had previously posted on this forum seeking feedback to my 2nd treatment strategy after recurrent PSA after
prostatectomy
. Seems to be in remission - so far at this early stage? Positive stories are also something to share.

The prices for Lu 177 in Germany
He had only a
prostatectomy
in November 2018, and 6 biochemical mets since January 2019 (detected by a rising PSA and a Ga68 PSMA pet/ct). In Vienna, you go home immediatly after the treatment (about after one hour). So you must not stay in a hospital.

The definition of SECOND biochemical recurrence (after prostatectomy AND salvage radiation)
While there is a standard definition of biochemical recurrence (BCR) after
prostatectomy
(i.e., confirmed PSA ≥ 0.2 ng/ml), there is a confusing array of definitions of biochemical recurrence (BCR) after salvage radiation (SRT).

Alternative Therapies
My radical
prostatectomy
took place in March 2017; in August 2018 I had an artificial urinary sphincter implanted to help with incontinence issues. Are there alternative treatments like acupuncture or CBD ointments that could help (1) overactive bladder; or (2) diminished libido?

Early Dutasteride Monotherapy in Patients With Elevated PSA Following Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy
All patients received a daily dose of 0.5 mg of dutasteride {Avodart} when post-RARP {Robot-Assisted Radical
Prostatectomy
}
PSA levels were increasing but had not achieved biochemical recurrence.

New PSMA ligand treatment with less side effects than Ac225?
After reading a out xerostomia(dry mouth, often permanent), I am seriously considering cancelling the Ac225 and just going with a
prostatectomy
along with having more APCEDEN vaccines made.

Dr. Sperling ECE article, not encouraging
Dan Sperling is kind of discouraging for guys like me with Extracapsular Extension, especially the last paragraph: “Compared with organ-confined disease, prostate cancer with extracapsular extension is associated with decreased overall and cancer-specific survival following radical
prostatectomy
.”
