ADT in men with node-positive prostate cancer treated with postoperative radiotherapy.
"In men with node-positive prostate cancer after radical
prostatectomy
there are limited data on the value of adding androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) to postoperative radiotherapy."

Blood count concerns
If not PCa, could I be looking at lymphoma, caused by all the radiation I’ve been exposed to (8 weeks post
prostatectomy
back in 2016, in addition to this year’s LN RT)? After so many ups and downs over the past 4 years, I start to expect the worst.

Circulating Tumor Cells in Men Who Have Undergone Prostatectomy for Localized, High-Risk Prostate Cancer
TAKE-HOME MESSAGE •In this study, blood samples were taken from 37 patients with high-risk, localized prostate cancer at 2 to 5 months following
prostatectomy
to assess the use of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as biomarkers. CTCs were detected in 30 of 37 samples.

Has anyone had success with Keytruda and then stopped treatment?
During the first year, I had a nephrectomy, cystectomy and
prostatectomy
along with other treatments. After all that, the cancer had metastasized to my lung. I began chemotherapy and after a year, the tumors had diminished, but my remaining kidney was starting to have problems.

Anal sex and psa?
I’m post
prostatectomy
10 years. I have always been around 0.01 or so PSA. After my last PSA test it jumped to a 0.05. In the week or two before the test I had a few sessions of receptive anal sex.. Has anyone else had a PSA rise from such activity?

Dealing with expected incontinence after robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy
Hello all, I am looking for some detail on what supplies i should stock up on at home prior to having my catheter removed after my surgery on 11-21-19. I have never had a catheter in before and have never had a leakage issue at age 66. Any advice on dealing with this side effect is appreciated. Been

Radical prostatectomy vs. external beam radiation therapy in Gleason 9-10.
Therefore, cancer-specific mortality (CSM) rates after radical
prostatectomy
(RP) ± adjuvant radiation therapy (aRT) vs. external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) were tested.

No more prostate
I have had a robotic
prostatectomy
complete removal. All tests say it was isolated and I wanted to have years with my family. I'm 51 and have 4 grown kids and a 6 yo and a 2.5 yo. Lots of memories and I didnt want to miss because of hospital visits.

Any thoughts on my next treatment plan?
I truly appreciate any thoughts on my current situation: I had a
prostatectomy
seven years ago followed by radiation leading to an undetectable PSA for two years.

Novel methods for mapping the cavernous nerves during radical prostatectomy.
Has there been progress in technologies to definitively assess whether nerves have been "spared" and "healing" is taking place following a

Ratio of periprostatic to subcutaneous fat thickness on MRI is an independent survival predictor in hormone-naïve men with advanced PCa
However, this was not practical for clinical reasons, as collection of sufficient quantities of periprostatic adipose tissue for the type of exploratory analysis described is only possible at the time of
prostatectomy

Men with Prostate Cancer can be Spared Radiotherapy after Surgery
This large RCT found that early salvage radiotherapy (SRT) is not inferior to 'standard' treatment with adjuvant RT (ART) with respect to biochemical failure in patients with pT3 disease and/or positive surgical margins (SMs) after radical
prostatectomy
(RP).

The use of PSMA PET-CT scans resulted in higher detection rates, and therefore, this diagnostic modality was recommended when PET-CT imaging is considered for subsequent treatment management decisions in patients with prostate cancer and biochemical recurrence after radical

Watchful Waiting Worked
Nearly 3 yrs ago I chose radiation over radical
prostatectomy
to halt aggressively growing cancer. My PSA following radiation is now down to .020. I am grateful to my urologist and to those who have advised me and executed an apparently successful procedure.

Cialis max dose
7 months after Davinci
prostatectomy
. Hoping for a return to normalcy, but not yet. Also will use Bimix (but not on days I take more than my daily Cialis dose of 7.5 mg per day). This is my first post, so be gentle!

A difficult customer
After doing a lot of research, including reading many published medical papers I rejected both radical
prostatectomy
and ADT - the former just did not work as far as I could tell from the evidence and carried horrid QOL consequences and the latter was also not a "therapy" as far as I could tell.
