Stopping Prolia after one injection?
I`m afraid that getting the second injection will force me to continue with
Prolia
for very long time (my age 52) with no safe way to stop, due to the high occurrence of the "rebound" effect with multiple fractures. I started with
Prolia
due to Osteoporosis with few vertebral fractures.

What medication should I take?
I have told my doctor I am not having the next
Prolia
injection(only had one). What are the alternatives for me? Love to go natural but really don't want to break any more bones. I am taking a lot of natural therapy things(naturopath suggestions).

About Prolia
The very first day I received the shot I became severely ill. I spent 4 months barely able to raise my head off the pillow. I also suffered from severe bone pain, itching, groin pain, severe breathing problems, raising heart, insomnia, etc., etc. I would be very interested in joining a class action

Also GP has recommended
Prolia
injections 6 monthly.....but I am not keen to start taking
Prolia
. Admittedly I have been very remiss in relation to taking Ideos then Caltrate over the 3 years....now taking a once-per-day liquid infusion Osteofos D3. (Once a day is easier to do.

Experience with Prolia injections for osteoarthritis, osteopenia, etcetera
I say this because my husband has had low blood calcium and started kidney failure after a
Prolia
injection. Now he is on dialysis 3 times a week

To save going over my situation, my first post on this forum regarding Osteopenia and
Prolia
can be found at: https://healthunlocked.com/bonehealth/posts/140686583/just-joined Also, somewhere (can’t find it now) I mentioned that I have (had) chronic constipation and someone suggested I should be taking

Osteoporosis and HRT for the over 60s
Twice in the last week I have had doctors tell me that denosumab (
Prolia
) is the answer and I’ve had to point out that the Rheumatologist specifically told me that I was ‘too young’ to be put on that due to my life expectancy (based on my mother living to 98) and the fact that denosumab can only be prescribed

He asked if I was on
Prolia
and when I said I was he said the ridge was due to bone growth under the gum and advised me not to use
Prolia
for more than 1 - 1 1/2 years. I asked him about the leg cramps and he said they could also be caused by
Prolia

Hi all, please see also my post at: https://healthunlocked.com/bonehealth/posts/140686583/just-joined On the advice of HeronNS I decided to go off
Prolia
(after 1 injection) and to try the Vitamin route with increased exercise. I was already taking Vitamin D 2000 - 3000 I.U.

I had
Prolia
for osteoporsis and stopped because all of my beautiful teeth just started falling out. Before that all of my teeth fell out and I checked with my Oral Surgeon and he agreed it was the
Prolia
that caused it. It's just so scary. He will not touch my mouth for at least the next year.
