prednisone
yesterday I tested my cortisol today. The result was 2.2 at 8:30 in the morning. Should I be concerned?

Not sure what’s going on, I had blood tests because of headaches and temple pain but I’ve just had a call from rheumatologist now making an urgent appointment for this Friday and wanting me to increase
prednisone
from 10mg back up to 15 until I see him, very strange.

Taking Prednisone at evening meal instead of mornings
Having taken
Prednisone
for 3 months now and tapered from 20mg to 9mg am getting increasingly tired during the day. Does anyone take their medication at their evening meal instead of breakfast?

Finally, at zero prednisone...still Actemra~!
I remained on .5 mg of
prednisone
until I returned from Maine and unpacked. I stopped pred on June 27; so far, so good. I started this GCA journey in August of 2019 at the ripe age of 78, this September, I will turn 84....so much for Grammy 80!!

Sweating on Abi, Prednisone and Lupron
Perhaps it is related to the night sweats and my body's inability to control it's temperature while I am on these drugs. Between working out more and these hot summer days I find that I sweat FAR more than I used to. I figure it's another drug side effect but wanted to ask if anyone has the same experience

Help with tapering Prednisone
I started on
Prednisone
at 12.5mg then reduced to 10 mg and have been told to reduce by 1mg per month. Is this a realistic target?I did manage to get it down to 7mg but ended up having a massive flare up so have had to up it to 8/9 mg again.

Morning Stiffness still alive and kicking after 4+ years of treatment!
So he really wants to get me off the
Prednisone
. He acknowledges that the PMR is still active even though the labs are in normal range. I am now taking Kevzara injections, along with the methotrexate and 4 mg of
Prednisone
.

gastro resistant pred and reduction
I have been on 1mg of gastro resistant
prednisone
for several months having reduced very slowly as advised. Not sure how to proceed now since I don’t think there are 0.5 mg of the enteric coated tablets available. I have started to omit one day a week with the intention of omitting more frequently.

Feeling rubbish again at 2.5mg prednisone
Hello, I’m hoping for advice again. I was diagnosed in March 2019 and have spent 5 years slowly tapering with a couple of flares. The last one was a few weeks ago at 2.25mg when I realised my arm and shoulder pain and tiredness was a flare. I went up to 7.5mg for a week and then resumed at 2.5mg.

I am wondering if this could be associated with GCA or a side effect of Actemra or

?

Coronary Artery Disease and Prednisone
I was surprised at this, since I haven't heard too much of it here on the forum, so I "googled" CAD and
prednisone
usage and WOW. It seems that even at low doses of
prednisone
(5 mg, for example), CAD is a real possibility.
