Pegasys injection 3
My Dr wrote my Peg to be given every 2 weeks. I have had 2, so far, 90mcg, then 70 mcg. Yesterday, my HCT was up from 39.9 to 43.7 in a span of 10 days. I figured it was up because of the redness in my skin. Platelets are at 881 and white cells at 15. Everything is up, so I decided to not wait 2 weeks

Storage bag/pouche to keep Pegasys at fridge temp.while on the go.
I would appreciate a recommendation for a ‘cool bag’ in which to store
Pegasys
jabs that I simply can’t deter from accompanying me on holiday. The rural Inn where I’ve chosen to stay does not supply a personal room fridge.

Did the Cork forum really say that peg doesn't work for 20% of people?
I'm having such problems with anemia, currently 90 (US .9), it's been drifting down ever since I've been on
pegasys
, I'm so tired of being tired!

Pegasys - Withdrawal side effects in the days prior to injection
Hi everyone, I'm Charlie, I'm 27 and have ET. I've been on Peg-interferon for the last year and I just wondered if anyone else experiences worse symptoms in the few days leading up to their injection. I do my injection every Sunday evening, and from Friday I started to feel a bit off (mainly mild

Questions about AEs on Interferons w.r.t. liver enzymes
I have seen erratic liver enzyme levels while attempting to transition from hydroxyurea to
Pegasys
. I'm not convinced that the Peg is the cause of the issue but my Dr has stopped the Peg and I’m back to 2g of HU with platelets at about 1400 and increasing at a good pace. It is not good.

Changing the time of administering pegasys
I'm due to give myself my 2nd dose today. My CNS advised that it's got to be taken weekly and within an hour of the first dose. My first dose was 15:15. I note that the general advise on here is to do the injection on an evening. So I'm wondering if it would be ok for me to move my time by a half hour

Second Pegasys injection and I’m weak as a kitten!
Update/ I took my second
Pegasys
yesterday evening. I sweat ALL night long. I feel fatigued and so weak. Also had a headache and some nausea last night. I have planted myself on the couch, today, and am depending on my husband to keep refilling my water glass.

Finally, my first Pegasys injection!
Hi all! After waiting for 3 months for a drug change, I finally had my first Peg injection this past Tuesday. My local hem/onc doc prescribed 90mcg for my first and my next injection in 14 days and 135mcg and then up to 185 in another 14 days. Not sure why she is going every other week. 🤷🏻♀️ I did

Any advice for first Pegasys injection?
Tomorrow will be my first
Pegasys
injection. I realize I may have some flu type symptoms afterwards but wondered if anyone has any advice on the best way to limit the side effects, if any? Thanks! Kim

Pegasys jab
Super nurse jabbed me for the first time , in the stomach area , and demonstrated technique. Now I’m due to self-jab and am nervous of making a hash of it. Advice and tips would be much appreciated!

Traveling with Pegasys on airplane.
Any suggestions on traveling with
Pegasys
prefilled syringe? I know it needs to be stored at 36-46 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pegasys and Pericarditis?
I’d like to ask if anyone else taking
Pegasys
has had issues with pericarditis/myocarditis? I have now had 5 Emergency Department admissions since 2019. Underlying cardiac problems have been ruled out.

Tired and itchy on Pegasys
Been on Peginterferon just over 2 months. Initially felt great and very energetic. The last 10 days I have been feeling rather energy lees and my skin is dry and itchy. Not very itchy just irritating. My last count 3 weeks ago showed my platelets had dropped but so had my neutrophils so my peg was reduced

Besremi 1st month w/out Phleb since starting
Previously on
Pegasys
at 135mcg effective dose. The attached image spells everything out for the most part with the counts and corresponding dosage previous to labs. One variable I'm unsure of is my latest lab was taken only 4 days after my last dose at 375.

Is there a form I need for Pegasys like there is for Besremi for me and my Dr to fill out?
I have been on the net looking to see if there was a form for
Pegasys
and I found nothing. Since my insurance denied my request for Besremi, I have decided to try
Pegasys
. Thanks! Kim

ET JAK2 positive
I spoke with him about
Pegasys
a few times and at first he declined and told me he wouldn’t give it to his worst enemy due to the side effects.

interferon resistant
I was on
pegasys
(max dose) for 3 years with hydrea and now on besremi since April with titration of hydrea. Since off hydrea my numbers have been creeping up. I think I'm one of those that are semi-resistant to interferons. Can you continue to use hydrea with besremi?

Anemia on pegasys ET
Been on peg 19 months now, it's worked a bit re platelets, 700 tho rising again. , but my Haemoglobin is now 83 (that's 8.3 in US I think). So I feel very tired. Has anyone any advice for transitioning back to hydroxy 😕 or switching to half and half? Many thanks Jo

Overlapping Hydroxycarbamide with Pegasys
I needed a change of medications and got the doc to swap to
Pegasys
. My doc required me to stop the hydroxycarbamide the day before starting the
Pegasys
, at 45 Mcg per injection. 2 weeks later the platelet count was 1,600,000. The
Pegasys
was increased to 90 Mcg.

Aching and tingling… is this my PV?
I have been on
Pegasys
for the last 2 years and my numbers are well controlled. Lately, my lower legs, knees, and feet have been really achy and feel swollen especially at night… they don’t look swollen but??
