Decision time!
Would be grateful for your views on my afib journey. Was diagnosed last November with paroxysmal afib, 2.6% burden. Burden up to 6% (from 7 day monitor in March). Have reacted badly to both flecainide and bisoprolol - fatigue, faintness, short of breath. Have been advised to have an ablation. However

anticoagulant
Good morning all I have probably a silly question I am female age 56 not that fit, should do more exercise. My Apple Watch is set to show any signs of AF It has shown 2% or less week 17-23rd And same week before (I have only just set it up to show this) I had a successful Cardioversion

Update on 5th post-ablation
Had my 5th ablation March 31st. Great for 2 weeks and then back into tachycardia with bouts of atypical afib tossed in (Kardia confirmed). Scheduled for a cardioversion May 12. Meanwhile on metoprolol and diltiazem (and anticoagulated of course). Completely idiopathic and hopefully just a blip during

Ablation update
So 8 months on post ablation I am still in permanent AFib but completely symptomless. I am back to sleeping through the night, much reduced anxiety from awaiting the next daily onset of the paroxysmal AFib, I am walking/running 4 miles a day, I have a personal trainer and am in the gym 4 times a week

blood results when I felt good
hi ladies Iβm off to see my endo tonight. But I was going through my calendar of when I felt good. I managed to find my blood results for this time period. Do these bloods seem good levels ? As this is when I felt my best. I am full thyroidectomy currently only on t4. thanks all π

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) concerns
Hi all I thought I had written and sent this but it seems to have disappeared. if you have read already my apologies. I am post ablation 3 months and doing well but finding that on my Apple Watch 4 (Bob I can see you raising your eyes to the heavens already!) I have a very low HRV of 13 which apparently

Breakfast then and now
Hi Afibbers. Had to miss a meal yesterday for cardioversion (back in NSR π€) hence my mind on breakfast this morning! Seeing as lifestyle change is central to Afib control and cure, I thought it would be interesting to share ideas on our first meal of the day and maybe how this has changed over time,

An Update to Tokyo Update
It's 5 months today since my mini-maze with Dr Ohtsuka in Tokyo. Yippee !!! π I will save the song and dance for the 6 month milestone, save to say that I am in NSR each and every day for the whole day. I take zero medications and do not require an anti-coagulant as my left atrial appendage was removed

Bisoprolol
I was diagnosed with afib December last year and prescribed bisoprolol 2.5 mg.I am waiting to see cardiologist ,but my pulse rate is irregular when resting. My afib I think is persistent, does anyone know if I need to up doseage of this med,as I feel a bit rubbish of late.

Variations in persistent Afib
My resting heartbeat has remained fairly constant (85 - 90) since I went into persistent Afib around 6 months ago. My symptoms, however, are very variable. I get the chest full of frogs sensation from time to time, just like those with PAfib. And some days I have good energy at least half the day without

when a tablet is not THE tablet
Before I tell My story I just want to make the point that I am sensitive to all Meds. I was diagnosed with Perm. Afib 5 years ago and tried on several Anticoags. before settling with Eliquis (apixaban) as the one I could tolerate. I have taken Eliquis for the last 5 years without any issues. In January

YIKES-no Flecainide for 5 days
My ablation is in 3 days and my EP had me stop taking Flecainide 5 days prior (but I'm to remain on Eliquis until day of procedure.) I must admit I've been nervous stopping the drug. I'm moving slower, doing deep breathing throughout the day, removing any stress. I have had 3 episodes of Afib since
