metoprolol 25 mg and low heat rate
hi, in a situation where there is a low heart rate between 55 to 60 bpm when in afib, does it make sense to take metaprolol drug, designed to reduce the ventricular heart rate, amongst other things? my allopathic md prescribed this and i cannot help but feel a bit uncomfortable. i don't wish the heart

blinding period success!
This week I will hit the 3 month blinding period date! I remain in Normal sinus rhythm and will be able to discontinue my Eliquis! However 3 nights ago I began to have PAC’s. Today I recorded them pretty consistently 3-6 per minute. So bummed as I haven’t really even been aware of my heart beat in last

Treatment Options
Diagnosed with Atrial flutter in January, 2023 . In December, 2023 went into Afib and had cardioversion which lasted until mid January, 2024. Went back into Afib Jan 15/24, tried Flecainide and 2nd cardioversion 2 days ago, which failed. Are there other treatment options to get out of Afib ?

Electric shock treatment
I was diagnosed with AF Nov 2022 but have beeb pretty good since then with no further arrhythmia (as far as I am aware). Recently had echocardiogram and the technician thought everything looked fine. Now had letter saying I would be given an appointment for electric shock treatment to improve my energy

Total thyroidectomy remnants/ recurrence
I had a total thyroidectomy last year for graves disease. Throat scan 2 weeks ago shows recurrence or remnants of over 4 cms on my left lobe. My tsh is 0.6 uIU/ml and t4 is 11.7 pmol/L and I am taking 25mg euthroyx. Would this be classed as a near total thyroidectomy or sub total thyroidectomy?

vitamin B12
Hi, I had a total thyroidectomy 7 years ago, I have fibromyalgia and CFS but recently my fatigue and joint aches and pains are unbearable. My most recent blood tests show my Serum Vitamin B12 to be at 282ng/l would you say this is on the low side? Any advice at this stage would really be appreciated

Prednisolone and blood thinners
As well as having PMR I also have Atrial Fibrillation. I am currently on 6mg of prednisolone. My GP is reluctant to prescribe a DOAC blood thinner for the Afib, because he says there is a risk of gastric bleeding.I am friendly with two retired GP's who are both of the opinion that this shouldn't be an

Pacs, Please Go Away !
Had my second ablation for atrial flutter back in September , first ablation was in 2016 for afib, that ablation worked for almost seven years. Have been having these weird extra beats, I felt them and they showed up on my Kardia . After some internet research, people told me they are pacs. For awhile

new to AFib
Hi, Last week I spent the night in hospital with AFib. I came home with 2 sorts of medication (beta blockers and blood thinners). It was a very scary process as I have always been healthy, despite my age , 67, and my weight, 17 stone plus. As soon as I came home I knew I needed to lose weight to help
