Is anyone on the UCLA trial for Opdivo with Yervoy for PC?
I have been approved to start trial and was wondering who else out there has or is going through it and can share their experience.

Happy Last Chemo Day!
He also developed a rash but it is not caused by the chemo but by the immunotherapy drug (
Opdivo
) that he is taking as part of a Phase 2 clinical trial. The rash always starts to clear up just in time for the next treatment.

Has anyone received the Covid-19 Vaccine while taking Immunotherapy?
Fellow cancer patients, I have been very concerned about how my immunotherapy (
Opdivo
/nivolumab) might affect my body’s response to the Covid-19 vaccine. During my past year on this treatment, my immune system has “overresponded” on several occasions as can be a side-effect of the treatment.

I feel loved and also really awful to leave people thinking the worst...Joe is a fighter and continues to fight.at last post I believe he was finishing up the checkmate 650 trial-
Opdivo
and Yervoy. He did all 4 infusions to no avail.

Stable CT scan. Five years+ living with Stage IV NSCLC
The immunotherapy (
Opdivo
) that I began almost a year ago is doing its job well. I receive an infusion every month. Unlike the chemotherapy of the prior years, I do not have a predictable schedule of extra-difficult days.

Opdivo
is currently being used for other type cancers but now they want to see if it works for prostate cancer. It’s a Phase 2 clinical trial and he is one of only 60 people in the trial. Below is the link to the trial.

Has anyone taken Opdivo with Docetaxel?
My husband, recently diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic prostate cancer, has been asked to participate in a clinical trial of
Opdivo
along with chemotherapy (Docetaxel) and is concerned about side effects.

Ice therapy during chemo?
Also, my OM at Moffitt Center in Tampa has been delaying the beginning of chemotherapy while awaiting the opening of phase 2 clinical trial that will add
Opdivo
to the Docetaxel. This delay has been on-going for about two months. Should waiting this long to begin treatment be of concern?

FDA Approves nivolumab Plus ipilimumab and Chemotherapy for First-Line Treatment of Metastatic NSCLC
The combination of
Opdivo
, Yervoy, and chemotherapy being available as a first line targeted therapy option gives patients more options for first line treatment. Patients are also able to stop chemotherapy after the two cycles and continue with the combination of
Opdivo
and Yervoy.

Opdivo and Yervoy combination approved for Non-small cell lung cancer
The approval of
Opdivo
(nivolumab) and Yervoy (ipilimumab) marks the first approval of combined immunotherapy treatment for NSCLC. This gives patients whose cancer does not have a targetable change a new avenue for treatment and more options than they have ever had.

A new plan
Chang in conjunction with
Opdivo
/ Yervoy with Dr. Lam. I will have 2 sessions of HDR and up to 8 sessions of
Opdivo
/Yervoy. It might be wishful thinking but I’m hoping for a cure. If not at least a durable remission.

experience with seeking insurance approval for more than one first level treatment---recent denial of a new treatment
which MD is combining with continued
Opdivo
. Question re first level treatment and insurance companies as this is a new treatment that wasn't available before. Has anyone else run into insurance denials?
