Surgery postponed
Hello again I’m supposed to have my big surgery tomorrow - total hysterectomy, salpingo-oophorectomy and
omentectomy
. But surprise, surprise I’ve acquired a viral infection (colds, cough, sore throat and a terrible headache) three days before my surgery so it’s been postponed.

Confusing journey of borderline cancer
In May of this year I was referred to Gyne-Onco who told me that I need to have BSO (right ovary and tubes removed), hysterectomy and
omentectomy
and called it completion surgery. I’m in my early forties and have not succeeded in conceiving a child so this news came as a major shock to me.

It’s 4 weeks after radical hysterectomy, BSO, omentectomy & debulking surgery. Why have I got terrible rectal pain?
I’m new here so just wanting to pick up any advice about how to cope with the terrible pain I’m having in my rectal area. The surgeon removed 2 small ovarian tumour implants from my colon but said she couldn’t see any more. Would the pain in my lower bowel be because there are smaller implants starting

Borderline ovarian tumour - new girl
I recently had bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy followed a few weeks later by laparoscopic hysterectomy/
omentectomy
. I was told after the first surgery that I had a borderline serous ovarian tumour stage 1b and the multi-disciplinary team advised completion surgery.

Hello
I had the option of an
omentectomy
and the wash which I opted for and no further traces found - my question is would you have expected any follow up appointments? I've been put on HRT until I'm 52 so get check ups for that but after the results came back from the
omentectomy
I've had nothing.

Just diagnosed with Stage 1c3 Ovarian Cancer 5 days ago. Scared
Last Monday had a total hysterectomy with removal of lymph nodes, appendix and
omentectomy
. I am scared to start treatments. I have to have 6 treatments every 3 wks. Don't know the name of drugs yet but will find out this Friday when I go have staples removed. I don't want to be nauseous.

Bloating after surgery
Hi I had a total abdominal hysterectomy, oophorectomy and
omentectomy
4 weeks ago and have now started getting a bloated stomach again together with firmness and discomfort above and to the left of my belly button. Has anyone else also experienced this. Should I be concerned. Thanks Carole

Long time healing??
After taxol/carbo/ avastin had surgery laparotomy, total hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo oophorectomy,
omentectomy
, excision of right side liver and sub diaphragmatic lesion, with repair of pleura, excision of pelvic peritoneum, not sure what all this means lol but that's what's wrote on my notes.

Borderline Tumours. How do I explain it?
I am going back to see the surgeon again to confirm as he has asked for a second opinion on it, but he is suggesting if confirmed, extensive surgery in the form of a midline TAH,
omentectomy
, appendectomy and the removal of various other things I never knew I had. 7-10 days in hospital and three months

3 years NED
Three years ago today I had my operation - TAH, BSO and
omentectomy
. Luckily for me, my mucinous adenocarcinoma was caught at stage 1a, so I did not have to have chemo. I'm still NED, though I still get very nervous at check up time!

Stepping in to your World...now my World
Consultant has said that I will probably need to have bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy plus
omentectomy
plus remove cervix and then multiple biopsies. My case will now be looked at by the Multiple Disciplinary Team but he told me to expect surgery in 2 to 4 weeks.

My results
I had a TAH, appendicectomy,
omentectomy
and cervix removal on 30th Nov last year. I felt like I had been under a steam roller, but went home the next day, as I felt being with my family would help me recover faster, was a battle, eventually they agreed.

Total abdominal Hysterectomy, ovaries, tubes and omentectomy booked for the 24th Sept - very scared but know it needs sorting. 3 hour op!
I went to see my consultant on the 7th Aug and after a long chat I've decided to opt for a hysterectomy. I've been suffering from endo, fibroids for 4 years now and feel I've come to the end of all "treatments". My consultant said he didn't want to fob me off with say zoladex injections as that can

Looking for support and encouragement
She had a laparotomy on 7th October for a hysterectomy,
omentectomy
and appendicectomy and is recovering before starting some more chemotherapy. It has been devastating for her and for the whole family. The prognosis given was 50/50 and we still dont know what the outcome will be.
