coping with copd
I use a
nebulizer
and inhaler. I walk a little each day to keep the lung muscle strong. I am on 5 to 6 liters of Oxygen sitting and 7 to 8 moving around.. I can't handle heat or humidity well at all.

Hi everybody
I can see summer has its up and down..I am sorry some of you are suffering..cleaning my lungs morning and night with the respiratory exercises really helps. Started physio again and learned some more. And the nebs of course as soon as I feel chesty. I hate the air con everywhere I don't know about you

Just out of hospital
So the last 10 days have been full of new experiences for me. I am classified as mildly asthmatic, but the last few months i have struggled on and off. The main culprits are chest infection, cold. Last week I got a cold. Before I even knew that my chest was reacting, and then it was a matter of getting

CBD - How far we have come in 6 weeks!
By the way, got the
nebulizer
scripted Tuesday by ward dr, after a frantically busy registrar saw him over long weekend and said nebulizers were old hat and not used now - or words to that effect!!!

COPD/Emphysema
Please may I ask you good folk about your experience in the use of Prednisolone. I have copd/emphysema. Eighteen months since diagnosis, following infection/hospital fifteen days. Mostly treated with nebuliser routine, four hourly. Left with the first course of Preds. Have been prescribed eight times

Rant
Hi All, I just though I'd share my scary encounter with my respiratory team. Saw the cons on Friday, she rocked up an hour late and was in a foul mood, tried to tell her I was unwell, (big morning dips, loads of Ventolin and chest pain), was told I should probably be on oral pred, but she was too busy

Injections?
Hi - last time I was at the GP he spoke about possibly trying a steroid injection (I can't remember what he did it was called). I've been on oral steroids fairly constantly for about a couple of months now and have had to restart every time I've stopped. If anyone has any thoughts on steroid injections

Is a peak flow of 200 low after a nebuliser?
Hi all i don't have a asthma plan and due to a lung operation I don't know what my normal is the reason I'm asking is I'm on antibiotics and nebuliser but not much improvement I'm missing 1/3 of my right lung and I've been told that I have fluid in my lung but it shouldn't bother me the reason I'm on

Wheezy Again
Peak flow keeps dropping debating a trip to A&E it's currently at 230 asthma plan says if it goes below 210 then go. I'm feeling really rubbish had two salbutamol nebs which have not helped and loads of ventolin inhalers plus topped up with extra fostair ... Doing everything I've been told.

Seek cough treatment if you experience chronic cough
The
nebulizer
converts the liquid medicine into a mist form enabling easy inhalation to the lungs. This is commonly used to deliver medication to infants and children.

Can anyone explain to me how often exacerbations are "supposed" to be happening?
On Spiriva, Symbicort, Proventil, and
nebulizer
. I do fall short on taking all my meds on time. I wonder if that is why I keep getting infections.

Back to the side effects
I take accolate 20 and symbicort to control my breathless between exerbations but it's not quite enough, I have been given Atrovent and spiriva to help but I have problems with them both. Dizziness nausea and severe headaches. I am wondering if I can take it through my nebuliser with less side effects
