chronic severe RLS
I've been on
Mirapex
for almost 6 years and only had to increase once after 5 yrs. This medicine saved my life.

what to do?
She didn’t address that Her reply was “Amantadine versus a dopamine agonist such as
Mirapex
or Neupro patch does she have a preference. ” I have no clue. I know you can’t tell me what to do, but I’m open to opinions or experiences

RLS and caffeine diet Pepsi
Most of us take
Mirapex
at night which works well most of the time but lately I feel like it’s worse and am having trouble sleeping. I had a suspected maybe it was the CF Diet Pepsi even though it was caffeine free so I stopped drinking it all together and it has made a HUGE difference.

Restless Leg Syndrome and Mirapex
I I found numerous articles that stated that the side effects of
Mirapex
can cause compulsive behaviors. I also, read that Tramadol or Clonezapam (spelling?) may help with RLS. I realize they can be addictive and I would need to be cautious.

Introduction and looking for feedback
I've always justified it as a love for learning, but the more I think about the possible side effect of
Mirapex
, and the timing of it, I can honestly say that the intensity seemed to really grow after I started on

all those years ago.

Victory!!
First started treating it with a low dose of
Mirapex
, then slowly had to increase the dose to the maximum allowed. Then experienced augmentation and had to stop taking it and tried gabapentin, etc. but they didn't work.

Severe RLS for 40 years
I now take .5 mg
Mirapex
, 1200 mg Gabapenten, 1 mg Roxycodone and 2 OTC Seratame caps nightly. I told my neurologist I didn't like taking Roxycodone she said I could take Methadone instead I don't like the sound of that either.

Mirapex
2x/day (March) -> 3x a day (April - May).

RLS Question
Most of my time is spent on
mirapex
was increased dosage as you can see in my previous post. That made me have terrible withdrawals.

looking for tips
I’ve done calcium/magnesium, iron supplements taken with orange juice, stretching, hot baths before bed,
mirapex
and lyrica. It’s daily and nothing helps. Looking for avenues that I’ve never tried. And yes, light exercise in the evening.

Just looking for help like most of you.
My PCP has offered to start me on a low dose of
Mirapex
, but I declined due to the augmentation risk I learned about here and on other sites. I'm seeing him again today, armed with the Mayo Clinic Algorithm hoping he will agree to testing my iron levels.

Has anyone tried Seratame?
I usually take the
Mirapex
with dinner at 6:30, the
Mirapex
finally kicks in around 9:30pm but RLS will rise it's ugly head in the morning again, Usually it it has only occurred on one side of my body's arm and/or leg per day and by using a hand held massager, I have been able to calm it.

Sigh... 😔🥱😒 Hallucinations side effects from meds on top of neck & back pain affecting sleep schedule
Now that we're a couple days into
Mirapex
alone, he seems to do better, with a little help of daily exercises, but hallucinations are still around. How long does it take for these stupid Hallucinations side effects to go away???

Spacing out Mirapex/pramipexole or Lyrica/pregabalin throughout the day
She mentioned that
mirapex
was not working for her until she started taking it throughout the day. One with breakfast, one with lunch, one with dinner and one at night. Within a couple of days her RLS was gone. Wondering if this has worked for others.

Iron levels -- borderline -- IV indicated?
I am quite miserable. my Bipolar 2 Depression gets worse when
mirapex
below 1.0 and yet, RLS augmentation has been terrible. Gabapentin worthless for me.

Glutamine and RLS Does anyone have any info please?
Still taking. .25
Mirapex
and Lunesta. Now they said to take Glutamine for the neuropathy and it did help but low and behold the RLS came back. I read a little bit that it might be from the Glutamine? And possibly NAC - N acetyl cysteine might help?

Med side effect
sorry for the TMI but I’m having pretty severe constipation from my meds. I’m eating prunes, drinking Miralax and resorting to ExLax and things are still a struggle. Drinking tons of water also. Anyone have a surefire tip? It will get better, won’t it? Again, sorry for the unsavory topic.

Scared and Frustrated
The beginning of February i thought i had the beginnings of maybe a stomach bug. Bloating, gas, sudden urge and need to use the bathroom.... only nothing would come, just mucus and very very small amounts if unformed fluff. This continued till I noticed i hadn't had a real movement for nearly two weeks
