In reference to my last post where I am awaiting a training session to use
metoject
injection for methatrexate my appointment has come through from the hospital and it's for November 🤯 So it will be nearly 3 months wait on no DMARD for a 10 minute appointment.....

Expected wait for injection, am I being impatient ?
Its been 2 weeks since i stopped taking MTX tablets and am awaiting a training session at my local hospital as to how self inject (
metoject
pen). I'm not worried about injecting I just want to get on with things as I know it can take months to work.

Metoject and heat
Hi, I’m just a tad worried about my
metoject
in this heat! I completely forgot about it until I had to take it! Is it ok in this heat!? Thank you 😊

Syringe disposal MTX in household waste?
I contacted my GP to say my yellow disposal bin for
Metoject
pens is full and asked where I should take it. They sent me a leaflet and a prescription for a needle clipper.

First metoject , nurse thinks I've had covid!!
I went to my surgery today to be instructed in how to use
metoject
pen. I was a bit nervous about the injection and the whole mask, social distancing routine.

So much knee pain!
I have been on mtx for the last 6 years (tablets) which were changed last week to the
Metoject
Pen, I was also prescribed Prednisolone starting at 15mg a day for a week, then reducing weekly, so 3 weeks treatment in all.

Benepali injections
I inject methotrexate via
Metoject
and don’t bat an eyelid at that, I used to inject MXT by syringe with no issues either, but just the thought of the Benepali injection makes my palms sweat!! Has or does anyone use an anaesthetic cream like Emla? Can anyone recommend a cream or a coping tactic?

When an RA flare is no longer a flare because it never stops... How long, in your experience does Metoject take to work?
I have prednisone in my medicine cupboard, I don't want to take it, so am trying to wait it out with
Metoject
and Naproxen.

Would be grateful if anyone has experienced any of this could give me some advice x
Also been given option to get tests for belimumab infusions in addition to
metoject
and hydrooxychloroquine if anyone can give us any information on experience etc I'd be so grateful.

Metoject pen
I have used
Metoject
pens for years and on my last prescription the pharmacy gave me Methofill injections instead. They are horrid and I spoke to my rheumy nurse and she said that I should not use them and to get back and ask for
Metoject
pens only.

Is anyone else having problems with Metoject pens?
Today I have used 2
Metoject
pens and both were faulty. Second one eventually fired but I would have only had a small amount. I'm now worried its happening again!! Is anyone else having problems with these
Metoject
pens? Thank you X

Restarting Cimzia after 2 months break
I have been off all my meds (Cimzia,
Metoject
and Sulfasalazine) for 2 months due to a dodgy chest xray. I've also had a ct scan to investigate further. I had a fall last August and have been in a lot of pain since that time.

Persistent low level headache and dizziness since moving from oral MTX to injections . . . or just me being odd?
I moved to 15 mg
Metoject
injections at the end of September. I saw one of the CNS team (really blessed, all lovely) at the start of December and she felt that I'm nowhere near remission and needed a dose increase but as I have an itch without a rash she wanted to be sure it wasn't the MTX.

Chest x-ray - not great 😕
I'm seropositive, and have been since the beginning, and built up to
Metoject
(20ml - reduced recently to 10ml) Cimzia (biologic) and sulfasalazine as my main RA meds. I had a fall in August and hurt my ribs (along with other bits and pieces) which have been painful ever since.

Metoject side sffects
I have recently been changed from methotrexate to
metoject
injection due to ulcers in my mouth being unbearable sore. I now have what looks like water blisters on the sole of my feet and the puss filled ones in my feet. They are not painful thankfully, just uncomfortable.

Respiratory Clinic - chest xray and CT scan 🤔
I am currently off all RA meds (
Metoject
, Cimzia and Sulfasalazine) due to a bad chest until I see the respiratory clinic. After throwing my toys out of my pram - big time- I got an appointment. I am flaring all over (I'm RA seropositive since 2015) and in such pain.

Any tips to reduce bruising from injections?
Hi I’ve recently switched to methotrexate injections and I’m using the
Metoject
pens. I’m finding they bruise quite a bit. I also use the Simponi pens monthly but don’t get as much bruising from these.
