Feeling fed up
I saw a neurologist who found a
meningioma
on my brain scan, but apparently this doesn't account for any of the nerve pains. He said there was no cause for it on the scans. I am wondering if I am developing Fibromyalgia? I don't know what to do. Should I go see my new GP and explain all this?

Raised intra cranial pressure
This revealed no clots but a
meningioma
which they thought was not causing the problems. I am waiting for a neuro ophthalmologist appt, then possibly back to neurology. Questions are - is there anything i can do to manage the symptoms while waiting ?

Raised intra cranial pressure - is it a hughes thing ?
At this point after asking for some feedback the neuroglist said 'its probably just one of those things -the good news was the ct was clear - well apart from the
meningioma
- and that's not doing anything' !!

Struggling to keep to keep it together...
I am trying to be positive and realise how lucky I am compared to others but I've been through such a lot over the years(I could write a book) and just when I thought things were getting better I was diagnosed with a
meningioma
(after bumping my head)...that was in 2012.

Upset and Frustrated!!
The good news is that the
meningioma
that showed up on my MRI doesn't need treatment (surgery) but does not account for any of the widespread pains I'm currently getting (on top of the lupus joint pain): -hurting all over with a debilitating fatigue -burning tenderness in my arms and legs, particularly

Update: Fibromyalgia?
I've had my 2nd MRI with contrast and now a letter from my neurologist says that the results do show an incidental
meningioma
(a type of benign brain tumour). This doesn't really explain my symptoms though. My rheumatologist said he couldn't see any evidence of vasculitis either.

Bit scared
The MRI showed that I have something that looks like an ' (small) incidental
meningioma
' which I have learned is a type of benign tumour. It also shows that I have 'foraminal stenosis' on C5.

Recovery from craniotomy/meningioma
Hi all, my boyfriend had a
meningioma
removed in September 2014. All is well in that they got the tumour out and it has been confirmed as benign. The tumour was on his left, so the right side of his body is weakened.

Hi all. Is a meningioma a brain lesion??
I was told over the phone that I have a
meningioma
, but my letter stated I hade a lesion adjacent to the right hemisphere of the brain, which 'might' be a
meningioma
.

I had a fist-sized
meningioma
removed in 1997. As it turned out, I'd picked up FRONTAL LOBE /DYSEXECUTIVE SYNDROME somewhere along the line. It's affected my life in several ways.

I feel like I have lost my sister.
In march this year my sister had a brain tumour (grade 2
meningioma
) removed but had a stroke during surgery and suffered severe swelling of her brain 2 days after and had to have her skull removed again.

Help needed please & any advise very welcome.
I'm not a stranger to pain, I do have a high pain tolerance, as I've had a 'Cervical
Meningioma
' in my neck & spine, entwined around my cord & Carotid Artery, had surgery many times to remove tumours, apart from to the artery as an aneyurism was found, so it had to be left until the anyurism was clipped

Good news!
I received great news last week, my latest MRI scan was unchanged with no sign of recurring
meningioma
and I wont need another MRI until March 2015.

Ovarian cancer and brain tumour?
I have just been diagnosed with a
meningioma
18 months after finishing chemo for ovarian cancer (clear cell adenocarcinoma). Has anyone here experienced similar? It is early days and it is as yet not clear whether the two are related. (The GP seems to think not.)
