Mayzent

Due to my history of having a serious infection while on Ocrevus, my neurologist opted to put me on Mayzent. If I do experience symptoms of any type of infections, Mayzent is easier to get out of the body then Ocrevus. It seems Ocrevus can last in the blood for over a year.

I’ve completed all of the screening for Mayzent and have been “enrolled” in their program. Anyone have experience with this DMT?

Started daily 600 mg Alpha Lipoic Acid, 2000mg omega 3 and a couple d3 a week. 2mg daily Mayzent started in May. Today…. Avg 6900 steps a day with 3.3 miles walking. Rarely fall, maybe twice in last month due to tripping on hose or twine.

Coffee, yogurt, Baclofen, Mayzent, Olmesartan, and now Amoxicillin (for sinusitis… ugh) all on board. Now it’s out to the apiary, before the honey bees start flying, to weed eat the dreaded Bedstraw vine! Bedstraw is a weed that is covered in Velcro like cilia.

BTW, Mayzent has a “help” program but you can’t qualify if you own your home. Thanks in advance.

Hello Community, I am undergoing testing to be able to take Mayzent. Has anyone tried it and is still on it? Is it working for anyone? Seems like I've seen people having a lot of infections and other side effects.

I was on Mayzent until the end of April and I got sick and had many infections. Abscessed tooth, cuticle infections, numerous herpes outbreaks, acne so bad i could barely open my mouth to eat. My lymphocytes tanked at 410 and overall white count was right around 4K when i stopped taking it.

I just cannot go thru another low white count situation like i did with the Mayzent.. It was a nightmare. never again. I would rather not be on anything at all than to do that again.. way too much

Mayzent, a multiple sclerosis drug, can promote myelin regeneration. I wonder if it is helpful for AMN. Have you paid attention to this drug?

I've been approved for the brand new DMT called Mayzent? I have the starter dose and the first months caplets in my refrigerator unopened. With the pandemic going nuts across the United States I spoke with my neurologist and got approval to wait to start new DMT until the pandemic quiets down.

I am on day 4 of the Mayzent. I have had no side effects except a silent or optic migraine and weakness. I hadn't noticed weakness until I went to PT. I tried to do an exercise I have done before and couldn't. It is a hard exercise. But it shocked me that I couldn't do it at all.

I'm taking Lopressor 200 mg for High BP... have SPMS and my Dr is recommending Mayzent... Any ideas since this med is suppose to cause High BP,

It is called Mayzent. It is one of the very news DMTs and the only one that specifically targets secondary progressive MS. So today I'm spending the day at University of Kentucky hospital. Jumping through hoops and doing multiple tests that I need to have before I can start Mayzent.

They didn't come right out and say it but she said you have had progression without lesions so that's why we are putting you on Mayzent since it is for primary progressive MS. Sounds like ppms to me.

Has anyone tried Mayzent? I finally got a confirmation of having a progressive form of MS. Now my doc wants me to try this new drug after seeing I have 2 new lesions on my spine at T2-3. They aren't active at this point thank goodness.

Still a steady decline so Neurologist suggested we try Mayzent. Said he has had success with it. We know it is targeted for SPMS, but since there are no other drugs out there for PPMS and it has shown some success there, here I go. Say a prayer.

my neuro may want me to try it in August. anyone taking it?

Hi All.... Has anyone started either of these 2 new drugs? Back in Feb when I told my neuron that I didn’t think Ocrevus was doing anything for me, he told me to give it one more infusion which I did in April, it was my 3rd full dose. He said 2 new meds were coming out within 6 months, which they obviously
