News on Mannitol and Parkinson and a Channel 1 video
If you decided to take
Mannitol
, it is very important that you report back so we can help each other do what the Pharma companies will not do for us.

mannitol
I have started on Zandopa again
Mannitol
doesn't seem too bad, I do have some bloating and little bit of cramping. It is helping with constipation. I got the
Mannitol
on Amazon for a really good price. 5 kilos for about $70. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed Mary

Mannitol Challenge Testing
Hey guys, Kind of a weird question, but does anyone know whether you can induce a false-negative result on the
mannitol
challenge test by using a short-acting inhaler beforehand?

One of my best friends got Parkinson's ... this is my journey to find a cure for him...it is going well !
For those who decide to try
Mannitol
, we set up a registry where they can report on their situation such that researchers can look at the data, and make conclusions about the efficacy of
Mannitol
. The registry is open to everyone who decides to try
Mannitol
and report back.

Mannitol challange followed by a lung function test?
I've just received a invite to a lung function test and it's been booked for straight after an appointment for the
mannitol
test. Is this usual? Just wondering if one will affect the other and if I should call and rebook or will it be OK? Thanks

Parkinson's
Many have reversal as it contains
mannitol
which passes through blood barrier. Just ordered CBD ADDit 300mg. After 8 years I believe my aggressive proactive approach has allowed me to confine to left side only and live active normal lifestyle. Vigorous daily exercise is key.

The big BLOAT! My top 10 hit list..
Mannitol
, sorbitol and beyond. As soon as I cut these out my bloat disappeared. So read all the fine print on labels - after all we're already hunting for gluten in all it's forms (wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt etc) what's a few more names to check eh!

Is it just me? Asthma and anxiety
(I should add that I am waiting for a
mannitol
challenge which the difficult asthma cons seems to think will be positive).

DIARRHOEA
Novel MRI techniques to assess small bowel water content (SBWC) have shown that
mannitol
solutions markedly increase SBWC and can be used as a model of diarrhoea.

Mannitol Test
Just wondered if anyone has had the
Mannitol
Test? I had mine today and it produced a negative result. I should be pleased, but am concerned as this result might affect how seriously my consultant takes my breathing problems.

Really Confused!
My Consultant then decided to do a
mannitol
challenge, which was done five weeks after the exacerbation whilst I was still taking oral steroids and was completely symptom free, so not surprisingly it was negative. I also had normal spiro at the same time.

Can someone please help me decide which hydrogen & methane test to do?
Lactulose (this one is a compulsory control test) Lactose Fructose Sorbitol Sucrose
Mannitol
Glucose I don't mind doing all 7, but can't afford to them all straight away (plus I have to take 3 hours off work for each one, so dont think my boss would like that too much!!)
