I got my first Lupron shot and have started on abiraterone. There may be treatment modifications after the holidays early next year. Let the games begin! John

My current 2.7 PSA has increased quite slowly in last untreated 5 years (post surgery, external beam, & year on Lupron/Apalutamide). Gleason- intermediate 7.

I have been on Orgovyx for almost 3 months and having been on Lupron for several years, I am very familiar with what side effects I can expect. I have experienced something that has cropped since I started Orgovyx and am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

Started lupron and Xtandi RO says to many micromets to extensive to radiation says wack a mole…MO says adt til failure then move on to other drugs… am I doing enough

Is this caused by PCa, Abiraterone, Lupron or it is a post Radiation side effect? Also does it get better, any treatment advice that might help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much.

From the few studies I have seen the sweet spot ( for maximum shrinkage of the prostate) seems to be 12 to 24 weeks after starting on ADT ( I am on Lupron and Zytiga). I want to hit the cancer with radiation when it is at it's weakest.

When it began to rise, he went on Lupron injections/ then Casodex. In 2018, his PSA jumped to 19 and his Urologist referred him to Oncology. He continued with Lupron . He had Provenge which helped for a few months.

I had Orchiectomy done starting with a psa of 1.1 in April 2021 and my psa has slowly declined after every 6 week blood test 1.0, .83, .89, .7, .38 Nothing has changed with my medications, other than dropping Lupron, nor with nutrition. Any thoughts?

Well folks, after diagnosis of advanced cancer in 2000, no removal of prostate, radiation and Zoladex, 2006 recurrence and chemotherapy, continued Lupron only until 2016, added Casodex for two years, then Erleada for two years, then Zytiga for two years and now with MRI revealed and biopsy confirmed

I really having a hard time deciding doing Lupron again as I really feeling good. What else can I do instead of Lupron ?

I am on Lupron or Zoladex shots every three months. I'd be interested in views of the best (and worst) case scenarios expectable from chemo with docetaxel. Supposing my PSA is about 50 when I start, how much might chemo knock it back down, and for how long?

One of the side effects of long term Lupron use is cardio vascular risk. My understanding is that the risk comes from castrate level testosterone, not from Lupron directly. Am I right?

Chose surgical castration instead of Lupron. PSA went from 68 in July to 1.1 in Sept (10 days later), 0.6 in Oct. to 0.4 Nov. 2nd. Oncologist wants to start Nubega which is for non-metastatic castration-resistant pc, and has some pretty nasty side effects.

So with that I have been 20 months with ADT using bicaludimide tablets each day ( after becoming allergic to Zytiga) and Lupron Shots each month. Took PSA down to 1.75 lowest and now 2.0.

I have 16 months of undetectable PSA with about five more months of treatment with keytruda and Lupron. That will finish up my two years of treatment. I am wondering about what happens next. tennis8285
