Nubeqa anyone?
I've been on
Lupron
for years with add-ons of Casodex, Xtandi and Zytiga. Presently on Zytiga (1000 mgs daily). Along the way I have had Brachi, Prevenge and some blind clinical trials. Here is my question: my MOC is thinking of stopping Zytiga and switching me to Nubeqa.

$790 For a 5-minute Video call? And Firmagon shortage?
I know some
Lupron
(1 and 3 month) doses have previously been in short supply. Is this the future for what APC patients have to look forward to?

Use of Nitric Oxide booster For Covid treatment found to Reverse 2 month doubling time in My Brother

Slightly elevated bone fractionated alkaline phosphatase with decrease PSA and steady calcium levels.. bone metastases or from recent fall?
Dad is on
Lupron
, Xtandi, Foxamax, blood pressure medication and an antidepressant. His PSA has been staying a steady for quite a while. He was diagnosed in 2015 with a PSA of 257 and a single met to a nearby lymph node. He had scans about a year ago and it showed no evidence of disease.

How long do flu symptoms last from Lupron?
This sucks really bad but I've had worse and if this is the only thing that's going to happen to me on
Lupron
, I can take it for years. I just want to get an idea from you guys how long this lasts.

When does the pain kick in?
My PSA has been around 10 while on
Lupron
and Zytiga. Latest check puts me at 0.2. That’s zero point freakin’ two! Wooot?, eh?! Obviously this is great news in this moment. And I know it won’t stay low forever. But I also asked the big question about expected longevity.

Importance of Early Detection-Current Numbers
I make this statement as a man with a Gleason 7(4+3) at age 56; Stage 4 Metastatic PCa at 57; six month chemo - hormone therapy clinical trial with two different infusions and four different orals; able to stop
Lupron
injections at age 63; and today at 73 (16 1/2 years later) remain undetectable at <

Learning to live with PC
Also, I accept the standard of care I am getting (
lupron
and Zytiga). My MO is great and we are in this as a team. I hope this helps some of you who are just beginning this journey. GOD bless each of you.

Question about starting Abiraterone
I am going to be adding Abiraterone to my
Lupron
next week. MO says 4 - 30 mg pills. Should I start with all 4 a day or start with 1 then 2 etc. so my body gets use to it? Anybody tried this approach???? Thanks as always to all of you.

It's been a full week since my castration...and feeling GREAT.
No depression...no hot flushes/flashes that seem any different than before with
Lupron
....and I have LOTS more energy than I did before....I'm really shocked. I was prepared for a lot of "emotional" stuff....I guess I was just ready.

When to start xtandi after docetaxel?
Gets
Lupron
and Zometa. Should he start taking Xtandi now, or wait for the PSA to start rising? Opinions of different oncologists were divided. Thanks

Would it work when we go back to the old treatment again? Your input would be appreciated.
For example,
Lupron
and Casodex (frontline) were used at first diagnosis. After all other treatments like zytiga, xstandi, etc. are castration-resistant, would it work when go back to
lupron
and casodex again? Thanks.

PT-112 study
Ok, after many standard of care options (
Lupron
, docetaxel, Xtanti, Xofigo) and 2 clinical trials, this one looks like a good next step. My PSA has ballooned up to 175, but I am stills mostly asymtomatic with Mets in 4 bones.

Orchiectomy Nov 2 , its not that bad
After 7 months on monthly Eligard (same as
Lupron
), I got the snip yesterday. ADT with Zytiga and Prednisone. Longer duration Luprolide is even worse than the 1 month shot, so also no thanks. I decided shots for the rest of my life, no thanks.

Husband doesn’t want to continue ADT/treatments for stage 4. He is only 51.
He had his first
Lupron
shot in may (PSA at that time 2.7) and completed 38 radiation treatments on 9/11/20. He is doing
Lupron
every 3 months for 2 years and to start again when/if PSA rises. However, after 2
lupron
treatments he doesn’t want to do anymore. What are you’re thoughts?

Castrate resistant
I know that
Lupron
is not working as it should. Aren’t there some line of drugs that work? Does it really cut your life expectancy?

The difficult question most all of us will face (Part II)
I had a
Lupron
4 week injection in August but it doesn't look like it helped. My testosterone was 0.5. I don't know what that means in Canada, but it seems it is still low. Dr. has told me I do not qualify for any current trials here.
