Emotional instability after stopping lupron and abiraterone
He says his short term memory is also getting worse again, as it was when he was on the
lupron
. He has become very reactive to incidents that would not have caused such reactivity in the past. Has anyone else had emotional/mental health/cognitive decline after stopping the ADT drugs?

Lu PSMA treatment updates
I was diagnosed a year ago with metastatic PCa, and my reaction to Degerelix and
Lupron
soon revealed that it was already castration resistant. I’ve been through most SOC treatments and started Lu-PSMA in November through the early access program. Here’s my experience so far.

Eight is enough?
The PSA number rose from .02 to .06 during the course of the summer as I waited for my MO to sign off on one of the new PSMA scans and the beginning of six month
Lupron
injections. Three avid nodes glowed among the boney ghosts and shadows of organs on those scans.

What things may come
My next MO appointment, blood tests and a second six month
Lupron
injection are scheduled at Duke this coming April. I want to know my PSA and T levels now, but would it make any difference other than satisfying my own curiosity?

Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, Quadruple bypass, & now a brain tumor!
For a while my dad was doing pretty well, managing his stage 4 PC with Xtandi and
Lupron
and then August came and pretty much everything came undone. In August dad told me he was having some pain in his arm that wouldn't go away.

Starting Xtandi
Almost 2 years on
Lupron
and Bicaludimide and my PSA is starting to go back up. The least it has been is 1.75 a few months ago then about 2.0 last month and now less than 4. My MOC wanted me to start me on Xtandi . I have read the Xtandi information and there are some severe side effects.

PSA rising and does not want to go on lupron
I've read some of the answers to your situation and I think that by by casadex would be your best option and depending on how fast his PSA is rising if he doesn't want to go on
lupron
you have firmagon which is a monthly thing so once you get it you if it doesn't agree with you it'll be out of your system

Estrogen Patch ADT
Lupron
reduces testosterone below 20 in about 50%-60% of men. If you are doing ADT then the goal is to reduce testosterone to zero. There are government studies that show that sub 20 is far superior to sub 50 (the supposed "castrate" level). https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/results/NCT03035032?

Skelton brittleness from Lupron
I have been on
Lupron
for about 16 months. About 7 weeks ago I had a fall on to a hard floor. I landed on my hand. In doing so I twisted my body but didn’t land on body but broke my fall with my hand. I had a X-ray which showed I had crushed my vertebrae. My GP put me on pain killers.

What kind timeline are we looking at?
He would like to still pursue treatment today but wanted to review scans at next visit and based on results, pursue just
lupron
alone. He does not wish to continue with chemotherapy after today.

PSA 1.34 - Testosterone <7 ng/dl
My urologist indulged me and gave me the requested tests, numbers look good for 60 days on Eligard (
Lupron
). I have been concerned that
Lupron
is not working as I am still having sex 3-4 times /week. Does it say <7 because testosterone test is not sensitive to amounts below 7?

Extreme pain in penis
I had a
Lupron
shot and began Casodex in early November, then switched from Casodex to Zytiga a week later. A couple of times (days apart) before the treatments began, I had a burning pain in the inside tip of my penis that lasted about 3-5 minutes then went away.

I'm new here, unfortunately. :)
I immediately was started on Casodex until insurance could clear
Lupron
and Zytiga. One week on Casodex seemed to have dramatic improvement in urinary control and reduction in pain in perineum. Doctor doesn't think Casodex would act that fast.
