Hi all, Hope you are all well. My mom had to have her oncologist appointment rescheduled after 5 MONTHS post op. The oncologist refused to see her because of medical insurance. And now I am afraid we are too late since 5 months have passed since surgery. Background: My mom (43 and dyalisis patient)

A new pathway to "reprogram" killer cells.
Killer cells of the immune system detect and kill infected cells or cancer cells. Researchers at the Institute of Pathology at the University of Bern have now discovered that the mechanism by which certain immune cells kill their target cells can also be used to control the killer cells themselves. This

New advances in the treatment of advanced lung cancer.
The University of Barcelona (UB) and Hospital Clínic de Barcelona collaborate with Boehringer Ingelheim Inc. to improve the efficiency of nintedanib, an antiangiogenic and antifibrotic drug, for the treatment of lung cancer. Immunotherapy 2 year limit
Hi everyone, My partner was diagnosed with stage 4 nsclc in October 2015. After unsuccessful treatment with chemotherapy she was referred to palliative care by her previous consultant. I went private to get a second opinion and found a great consultant who enrolled her on a early access to medicine

Lower Left Lobectomy for Bronchiectatsis good new report!
They didn't believe I would lose
lung
function if I had the
lobectomy
because it was already collapsed. I think the docs were right because when I take a breath now my lungs feel better, softer while breathing with no part of the breath being forced. Its hard to describe.

Advice please
I was diagnosed with lung cancer last spring. There are also two secondaries. I have had 10 chemo sessions. Decided to give up for a bit because of side effects. Anyone tried alternative medication? I wonder about apricot kernels. The hospital will continue to monitor me with scans. Just looking for

A randomised single-centre trial of inhaled liposomal cyclosporine for bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome post-lung transplantation.
Outcomes after lung transplantation are poor due to bronchiolitis obliterans. Since bronchiolitis obliterans is not readily demonstrated by lung biopsies, the term bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS) is applied, defined as a sustained forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1) decline. Treatments for
