Lung cancer

I was diagnosed a lung adenocarcinoma, a RET positive fusion mutation in Januarya2024.Am told its a rare cancer. I would like to chat with anyone else here who may have this type of cancer and is being treated with Selpercatinib pills.

I have been diagnosed with Squamous cell lung cancer, I met with the respiratory doctor, who is booking me in for a pneumonectomy, has anyone had this procedure and can offer any advise

He eventually came home after 13 days, stayed with me for 4 days and then ended up back in hospital because of breathlessness and they found he had a blood clot in his lung, another infection and now mucus. It definitely is lung cancer but it's already spreading so stage 4.

I have incurable lung cancer and currently undergoing immunotherapy treatment. Am due a ct staging scan on Monday and see the consultant in about 3 weeks. If the consultant says they are stopping the immunotherapy, what alternative treatments could be offered?

Can someone please share with me their experience after going thru radiotherapy for lung cancer? My dad had a radiotherapy for his lung cancer in Oct 2023. The radiotherapy went well with him not going thru any adverse side effects.

I have stage 3 lung cancer, I have no symptoms and have no issues. I have 100% lung capacity. I have had 3 infusions of immunotherapy and chemotherapy. The tumour has shrunk 60/70% I have a choice. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy for 30 days. Removal of left lung. Both have risks.

Diagnosed with lung cancer very high in lung, Doctor says it's very difficult to get for biopsy, and then tells me that as I weigh 130 kg I might not be suitable for radiotherapy, is this right?

Just curious - have had cancer 6 times now, breast cancer x 3; bowel; lung; 5 times all operated on & fine, now this 6th time caused by the radiotherapy I had 25 years ago for my breast cancer caused my squamous lung cancer, not operable + of course no radiotherapy as I've had the max - was only discovered

gone from prostrate cancer stage 4 , to lung cancer w unknown source, to 2 separate cancers which at this time can be cured. The lung cancer source is in right hilar under neath the cancerous lymph node. The tumor source is also attached to the sub-carina lymph node in middle of chest.
