Chemo followed by
lumpectomy
once he had strung the tumour. First type of chemos I had were for breast cancer and the did nothing. It was then changed for four more treatments which involved platinum based chemo. It shrunk straightaway! I had six chemos in all.

New and changing my own biochemistry
I got results yesterday after a
lumpectomy
and 1 lymph taken 2 weeks ago. I had a 12mm lump and some LCIS and all is gone now. Clear margins and no lymphs involved. ER+.

Sleeping my life away
The kids are gone and I had a
lumpectomy
for breast cancer 8 years ago, so fingers crossed on that...I have been a singer and teacher most of my life and am struggling to find the energy to keep this passion going.

Seroma after lumpectomy
I went for my CT scan today knowing that I wasn't healed. However another problem has arisen that I have seroma in my breast area. I have noticed it is becoming quite sore also and aches. My armpit is also still swollen where I had lymph node biopsy too. Has anyone else experienced this after surgery

Hi lovlies! I have just joined this group, and hope it will give me some helpful tips and support. I had my first ever mammogram in March, when they found a small cancer lump in my left breast. I had my surgery on Friday 13th May to remove the lump together with a lymph node/and biopsy under my arm

I'm so sorry
It was grade 0, so I just had a
lumpectomy
. When I first found out, I called both my sisters. The younger one had never had a mammogram, it turned out she had stage III. She went through everything and happily, it was her 10 year anniversary today. My other sister was fine.

I've had a
lumpectomy
and am in the 4th week of radiation treatment. The hardest thing for me right now is, despite the kindness and professionalism of the staff, all of the preparation/simulation/treatment for the radiation makes me feel awful.

I was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer on 1 March and had a wired local excision (
lumpectomy
) and 25 lymph nodes removed on 23rd March; 5 had cancer in. My surgeon is confident they have got everything but I'm now facing chemo, hormone and radiotherapy in the months to come.

My inspiration
Considering how treatments have developed since then too, at that time she only had a

and 25 rounds of radiotherapy, no tablets to treat her afterwards either, the incredible thing was she had only been working as a nurse on an oncology ward 3 months when she found a lump, she insisted on
