Diagnosed June 2015...
I also never had a
lumpectomy
or mastectomy. Anyway, that is a brief summary of my diagnosis. I am hoping this plan will continue to work for me for a long, long time!

The lump is gone...
Morning ladies, had my
lumpectomy
yesterday.went smoothly. Awaiting report. Woke up this morning convinced I'd feel a little better now it's at least gone but instead I feel a bit teary. Maybe it's the after effects, I don't know.

Post-Chemo Fatigue
Hi all, I was diagnosed for second time- had breast cancer DCIS in 2006 w/
lumpectomy
& radiation. Then in 2015 (1-1/2 years into retirement), I was diagnosed w/breast cancer in other breast. Since I have a positive genetic PALB1&2 & am triple negative, I had a bilateral mastectomy in July.

Awesome (Free) Breastforms!
They provide free breastforms to women who have had explant surgery,
lumpectomy
or mastectomy, or who have had developmental complications. All you have to do is fill out a simple form online. Mine arrived in the mail yesterday.

Bit of advice please ladies
I'm having a
lumpectomy
next week. They say that is enough followed by radiotherapy for three weeks. Are these plans usually accurate. I've had a mammogram, ultrasound, and a core biopsy. They say this is because the lump is small, hopefully stage one and possibly not reached my lymphs.

Triple Negative survival!!!!
I have had a
lumpectomy
, 4 rounds of Adiamycin, and 4 rounds of Cytoxan/Taxol, double mastectomy, and 33 rounds of radiation. They found out before I started chemo that my cancer was metastatic in three of my lymph nodes, but they were not under my arms.

Hi! Lobular BC with bone mets....
I had a
lumpectomy
which showed one positive sentinel node. It was felt that I didn't need chemo but had 33 rounds of radiation. I was put on Arimidex for 1 1/2 years. I'm ER+, Progesterone -, and Her2-.

Recent DCIS in NYC
Had a
lumpectomy
6 weeks ago with clean margins. Radiation has been recommended to prevent a recurrence. I am very concerned about radiation to my heart as I am in my 60s and have a family history of heart disease.

I Did It !!!
Started the programme in August, then at the end of Week 8 I had to have further surgery -

and some reconstruction work - which put me out of action and then right back to square one and week 1, and even those short runs were agony until I discovered ways and means of stopping the impact on

CLL and Pseudohyperkalimia?
I need to get cleared for my other cancer surgery :( Having a
lumpectomy
on Thursday if I am cleared. I have been reading that CLL patients can have artificially elevated potassium. Anyone know about this? Thank you!

Metastatic Breast Cancer Survivor
I had a
lumpectomy
and then 3 weeks later had a right mastectomy with no lymph node involvement in 1994. At that time I did have reconstruction, which was painful. At that time I thought I will be good if it doesn't go into my left breast. It never has although there were a few scares.

New here. Would like info on bone mets....
Had a
lumpectomy
and radiation. One sentinel node had Metastisis but it was felt that I didn't need chemo. 2014 pain in ribs led to finding of bone mets to spine, pelvis, and ribs. We believe that it had already metastisized much earlier, perhaps in 2008.

New to forum, 38 from Worcester, getting to end of treatment, feeling positive.
Finished chemo last month, had surgery (
lumpectomy
only) couple weeks ago and due to start radiotherapy next month. I feel like I'm coming to the end of my journey and worried I've not connected with any other people locally in similar circumstances to keep in contact with.
