Update Cough
She fears this since before her
lobectomy
and diagnosis she coughed blood so her fear and trauma is there. She was also intubated in induced coma for a week and a half before her
lobectomy
since it was an emergency surgery, so maybe that could contribute to that?

Adenocarcinoma Recurrence
I have just learned that I definitely have a recurrence of my adenocarcinoma from my LLL
lobectomy
2.5 years ago. PET scan and brain MRI next week. Then we will know whether it is stage 3 or 4. We will plot our course of action at that point. New territory for me. Best to you all, Rick

Remission! Then what?
In 2009, I had a upper right lobe
lobectomy
. Simple, stayed the Lahey Clinic for about a week. The nursing staff was great, my wish was their command. I could not have asked for better. The first 5 years were simply a piece of cake. No meds, continued physical activity with no changes.

Dry Cough attacks
Hello all, so ever since her
lobectomy
my mom has been dealing with runny nose and cough sometimes which i assume is normal. It is just dry cough. Also she had a feeding tube through her nose during the ICU induced comma for 2 weeks. Now 3 months later she is like a new woman.

Silent Reflux after Lung Surgery for Early Cancer
I had a right lower
lobectomy
in February. My consultant is pleased with my recovery and I am now just being monitored. However after this surgery I had symptoms develop that lead me to now believe I have silent reflux or LPR. I've had an endoscopy that found only mild gastritis.

Bones
Mom had her
lobectomy
3 months ago doing amazing. Her ankles have hurt but it has been there even before she had surgery. Now her knee has been hurting for two days. I am so afraid of bone mets. Can it spread that quick if it was? Our appointment 2 months ago said no lymphnode spread.

Has anyone experienced this post

Lower left lobectomy for bronchiectasis
My doctors have been recommending that I have a lower left
lobectomy
of my lungs. Would anyone want to share there recovery experience, cautionary tales, and successes with this procedure? Did your infections/exacerbations decrease?

Missed diagnosis for lung cancer.
Long story short, I ended up with pneumonia where my wonderful Thoracic Consultant found I had Adenocarcinoma in my upper right lobe and I had to go to a hospital 4 hours away to have a
Lobectomy
. I have been left with multiple health problems and a year on I still feel very ill a lot of the time.

Possible Recurrance
My LLL
lobectomy
in March, 2017 left me feeling pretty good as I then had NED. This apparent setback has me worried. I may be going into a new scenario as I deal with a new reality. I welcome your comments. Thanks, Rick

Why CT scan not pet scan?
As you may know, I finished 4 rounds of Cisplatin Alimta three weeks ago, following on from a
lobectomy
in March. Tomorrow I have a CT scan and am wondering why they do that at this stage rather than a pet scan. Can anyone explain please? Best wishes to all and kind regards xxx

back pain post op
My mom has been having a bit of back pain after her
lobectomy
. Is it normal? Not bad back pain, but after she walks and stands up the whole day for a long time, her back starts hurting a bit. Has been about a month since surgery.

Gleeson 9 (5+4), about to get PSA result around 1 year after surgery
Had a subtotal colectomy for bowel cancer in 2017. T1. seems clear apart from radiologists reporting 'striations' in fat in the abdominal wall. Had a prostatectomy in mid-2018. Extensive cancer in large-sized prostate with extension to lymph nodes and seminal vesicle - affected nodes and areas removed

Nerve pain after vats Lobectomy
Hi folks- yes I have nerve pain and I’m back to the gp today to get meds to help with the pain. I tried to stop the dihydrocideine but I’m afraid I couldn’t cope with the pain. Lung nurse and consultant talked about taking Amitriptyline for this pain. I’m fit to fly in 3 weeks for a holiday but want
