Difficulty getting Liothyronine without Acacia
I'm currently having difficulty finding a pharmacy than can source a
Liothyronine
brand that does not contain Acacia, to which I have had a bad reaction recently. The two suitable brands being Roma or SigmaPharm (5mcg). No one can get SigmaPharm and there seems to be no supply of Roma.

Armour Thyroid
I was taking Armour Thyroid from 2003 to 2016 when I was told I could no longer have it and was given
Liothyronine
but a much lower dose 5mcg x twice a day as opposed to 3 grains of Armour x once a day.

Is blood test for TSH level when taking liothyronine only skewed?
I recall reading somewhere on here that the TSH level when on
liothyronine
only is not accurate as a diagnosis for increasing/decreasing doses. I have been searching on here for info, to no avail. Can anyone help please.

Should I increase T4 or T3?
Diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib in 2021 (in A&E), was on 75mcg Levo and 10mcg
Liothyronine
(not converting well from T4 to T3) Was doing ok with ranges of FT4 around 15 -17(12-22), FT3 around 5.2 -5.9 (3.1-6.8) and a suppressed TSH of around 0.1 – 0.005 (0.27-4.2).

How to change from T3 only to T4?
In the end I found 50 mcg
Liothyronine
was best for me, sometimes in the winter I take a little more, up to 62.5.However, it's stressful and expensive to self medicate.

A further call to arms everyone! Please add your name to this important petition.
However 10-15% of patients despite levothyroxine treatment have persistent ill health, although some find their symptoms improve dramatically with
liothyronine
(another thyroid hormone).

Does anyone prefer TEVA to ROMA Liothyronine?
For many years I was on Cynomel but after a long time in hospital I was only given T4. When I was back home I spoke to the GP and he prescribed T3 by TEVA which really suited me. Unfortunately this was changed and I was prescribed ROMA instead which made me very tired and altogether didn't suit me

Bad Reaction to TEVA
I just had a bad reaction to TEVA Levo 50mg due to the Acacia Powder filler, GP changed prescription to Accord, but I also take
Liothyronine
(Morningside), I don't believe there is a brand of Lio (tablets) in the UK that doesn't contain Acacia, but that there is an oral solution.

Antibiotic therapy. Now I have severe insomnia
My current dose of thyroid medication is: 1) Levothyroxine 100mcg daily in the morning 2)
Liothyronine
12.5mcg in the morning and afternoon I'm skipping the afternoon T3 dose for a couple of days to see if that will correct the problem. As I type this message, I'm unable to sleep.

private endos in Newcastle upon Tyne
Hi, My expectation of being prescribed
Liothyronine
at my upcoming NHS endo appointment is low to zero. I am done with feeling unwell and am not prepared to wait for a second opinion on the NHS. I need to reclaim my life so I will make an appointment with a private specialist straight after.

More gaslighting with obtaining T3 🙄
"When they put a request in for
liothyronine
it's not specifically stated what kind, so we just get what the distributors have in stock🤔 so it can be generic" 🤔.. So I slip in that Roma don't seem to have a problem at this minute with distribution,..
