Vitamin B (Thiamine)
My legs and limb are wobbling while walking but i feel improvement in my balance after taking
levodopa
/carbidopa/Entacapone (100/25/400)/day and Q10, 200 mg/ day. Does B1 helping strengthening wobbliness? is it ok to use B-complex or just B1 (thiamine)?

Cause of dyskinesia? Parkinsons or carbilev? Advice about amantadine?
I haven't tried it yet but I think to give up
levodopa
. My shaking is getting unbearably worse.
Levodopa
doesn't seem to do anything except make me uncomfortable. Dr Costantini advised me to get more
levodopa
and I did try that but I jerked so badly I had to stop.

A bioproduct rich in L-dopa
Has anyone had experience with Symprove probiotic or Atremoplus, we know a PWP taking the latter and is having great results, also very good reviews on livebetterwith parkinsons.com. My hubby would really like to try one or the other, the cost is very expensive, which we don't mind if it would help

APDA Citation: What is wrong with these 2 sentences? Anyone?
"Carbidopa/
Levodopa

C/L CR with food?
But I also see this: https://www.rxlist.com/sinemet-cr-drug.htm "The extent of availability and peak concentrations of
levodopa
after a single dose of SINEMET CR 50200 increased by about 50% and 25%, respectively, when administered with food."

Homocysteine: friend or foe?
Those who are canny will recognize that homocysteine levels can be elevated by taking
levodopa
, and this may lead to unwanted health side effects. (There are things you can do to mitigate this.) However, does mean that homocysteine is just bad? Maybe not.

Grapefruit juice is more than a CYP3A4 inhibitor
Just found this timely article all about Grapefruit for Parkinson's, except effects on
levodopa
, 'cos it hasn't been tested. Conclusion : it's good for your brain, but could be dangerous, so if in doubt, don't drink it. https://www.salubrainous.com/grapefruit-for-parkinsons/

More pieces to the puzzle about getting a more stable supply of levodopa to the brain
The results confirm that CYP3A4 powerfully inhibits
levodopa
and may be more important in its action than DDC, the enzyme that is inhibited by Carbidopa.

It seems like L-carnosine, a natural molecule of the brain, may have some significant benefits for PWP: https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/10/2/147 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18729814 Following is the relevant quotation from self hacked.com: 10) May Treat Parkinson’s Disease Carnosine reduces

Why should not we increase L-Dopa bioavailability in the Brain
After watching this video you will find out why you shouldn’t manipulate the L Dopa bioavailability in the brain. https://youtu.be/_eq28PCvfsg You are trying to balance something but you will end up messing with the same thing, in this case the Dopamine.

Can you take them together or do they need to be spaced out. Doctors use levodopa responsiveness to diagnose, but a new report today says a specific gut bacteria prevents it from getting to the brain
I often feel I am sometimes unresponsive to
levodopa
. I wonder if these bacteria come and go.

Scratching your head for the origin of Parkinsons - is there a common link between Dandruff and PD ?
This Canadian-Spanish team examines the hypothesis that the micro-fungus, Malassezzia which causes dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis (SD) xould get into the brain and damage cells. The association between the two conditions may also be due to a common factor that helps promote both conditions. Not

Gut microbes interfere with Parkinson's drug - but we could stop them
Levodopa
is used to treat many of the symptoms experienced by the 10 million people with Parkinson’s. The drug works by passing the blood-brain barrier and releasing dopamine in the brain.

APL-130277 still without FDA Approval: Why?
Apomorphine is a somewhat strange Dopamine Agonist (non-egoline DA Parky B!) that required subcutaneous injections. It certainly hasn't been a mainline DA prescription in the USA. Sunovian developed back in 2012 a 2 part sublingual film that was applied under the tongue to reduce the difficulties of
