Skip the injection, go straight to abiraterone
I was discussing abiraterone acetate (brand name Zytiga) with my MO and asked why it was always given with ADT. "I don't know, it's just always been done that way." This seemed odd to me. ADT usually involves a drug like Leuprorelin (Lupron) to trick the hormone system into shutting down testosterone

Diethylstilbestrol [DES]
Over the years, I have known men who have used low-dose DES (Diethylstilbestrol) with some success. DES has been discussed here in a few threads. Wikipedia [1]: "DES {was a} standard initial treatment for symptomatic advanced prostate cancer for over 40 years, until the GnRH agonist leuprorelin {Lupron

Carboplatin without a test
With a stage 4/G9 w/bone mets only in '16 and enjoying
leuprolide
/enzalutamide after docatexel (6 in '16), I'd think Carboplat would be a no-brainer. Avodart, as well. What hoops are there? Crabcrusher

Looking for LU-177-PSMA treatment in Germany
I am 84j old, stil in a good condition (ex-sports man), but have metisized prostate cancer since 2016. After 2 years the hormon therapy ( Leuprorelin 1x/6month, XGeva 1x/month) didn't work anymore so I got castrate resistent. It took my urologist 7 month to find out. My PSA raised from less than 0,2

Casodex & metformin
The side effects profile is much better than from Lupron (
leuprolide
), so we thought that would be a reasonable alternative for people who have biochemically recurrent prostate cancer with rapidly rising PSA. What can patients expect to happen in the trial? Dr.

An update post chemo
I was diagnosed as advanced in Oct 2017 (age 60) with PSA of 193 and was put on Cosadex, then
leuprolide

Non-PCa Prescription Drugs: Thalidomide / Lenalidomide (Revlimid)
This post was triggered by Dale's post: "Leibowitz Protocol". "Dr. Bob" may have moved on during the intervening 10 years, but I was intrigued by his use of Thalidomide & Lenalidomide to inhibit angiogenesis. Tumors cannot outgrow their blood supply unless they make extensions to existing blood vessel
