Hi, I take these two medications separately too. Generally, I don’t think there would be an issue taking them together because there is Fixapost which is a combination of the two. I assume you take one in the morning and one in the evening ? I think this is to spread the benefit and how they are prescribed to me. If you miss a dose, I think the advice is to take it when you remember but don’t double up. My optician reminded me that if taking more than one type of drop (I’ve got dry eyes) I need to leave interval of at least 15 minutes between to be sure that the first drop had been absorbed. Hope this helps.

Hello, If you have forgotten to take the timolol and realised a number of hours afterwards, it is best to leave it for that day and continue as normal the following day. Timolol is not recommended to use at night as it is a betablocker.

Thank you. That’s interesting. My current prescription has the timolol in the morning but the first time I used it, it was the second medication (evening). Nowadays, I read the manufacturer’s leaflets that come with medication properly and had noticed that it says take it in the morning. The leaflets usually have a section about what to do if you forget a dose.
