low resting heart rate
Hi All, I have Low resting heart rate, regardless of upping dose. I’ve upped my T3 meds from 20mcg to 25mcg and I take 100mcg of Levo and my resting hr stays at 52/51bpm my resting heart rate was the same at 15mcg T3 too. Initially when I up the dose for 2-3 days resting heart rate will increase to

Abnormally cold!
just had a thyroid function test as complained to GP of not being able to regulate my body temperature very well. As the weather gets colder so do I which might seem normal but it’s dropping as low as 33.5* when air temperature is 19 degrees C. Thought of winter approaching is worrying as had this problem

Can anyone comment on my daughter's blood tests and advise what - if anything - we should do next?
My daughter is 18. I first requested blood tests with the GP when she was 15. This was during covid. I had to fight over the phone for them but she'd put on weight rapidly, she especially looked to be retaining fluid in her legs, feet, hands and face. Other symptoms = tiredness, slow movements, dry eyes

Why does Levothyroxine cause weight gain if it treats hypothyroidism, weight gain being a hypo symptom?
Shouldn't it help rectify hypo symptoms not make them worse? This baffles me! I wish I could revert back to Levothyroxine and use it together with T3 as NDT is extortionately priced, and not working brilliantly for me anymore, however, weight gain is my biggest fear, and I read so much about this on

Thyroid uptake scan results
hi folks, In February I was diagnosed as hyperthyroid. My T4 was high at 38 (ref range 11-22). TPOAb high at 178 (range 0-35). TRAb negative at 3 (ref 0-3.3). I was referred recently for a thyroid uptake scan to conclude Graves diagnosis. Findings: The thyroid gland is not enlarged however there

SC5NA Gene mutation
hey, I’ve just been diagnosed with an SC5NA gene mutation after having genetic testing done which has identified the cause of my Brugada, I’ve now been advised I’m at risk of cardiomyopathy. Has anyone else experienced this diagnosis and can offer any advice?

Follow up
I had a follow up appt with my Dr yesterday. Told her I am down from 10 mg ropinorole to 3 mg with the help of 25 mg tramadol when needed. She thought that was great but does not want me to use tramadol. She said it causes Rls. She gave me gabapentin 300 mg. to try instead of Tramadol. I asked about

Experiences of NDT v Levo and Lio
Hello again, I have been trialling NDT (2 grains since mid March 2024. I was previously on 75mcg Levo and 10mcg Lio (from NHS Endo) but still had symptoms. Both T4 and T3 levels are better on NDT yet I’m not feeling improvement. The private GP I saw increased my dose to 2.25 grains and I felt jittery

Dialysis and transplant.
I want to tell everyone my experience, with dialysis and trying to be put transplant list. The experiences I have had at have been good and bad. The good is when I no cramps and good blood pressure. The is when the total opposite. This has happened several times. I would say be your own advocate.

Goitrogens
I've just discovered that there is a group of foods called Goitrogens. Every day I have a berry and Kale smoothy - thinking myself to be very healthy. Now I find out that large amounts of uncooked berries and Kale can cause hypothyroidism and restrict the beneficial effects of Levothyroxine and T3.

I want to give up. I have no energy to keep going.
Hi all, I've been suffering for the past many years. Since 2022 everything went downhill and I had to quit my job as I can't function. I'm 40 years old. I was tested for everything under the sun and everything is down to thyroid. I have Hashis. I have tried many med combos, everything fails on me. Recently

Assistance with T3 source please
Hi would appreciate if anyone can assist with a reliable T3 source please. Ideally I am looking for tabs that I can split into small doses i.e. 5cmg as extra T3 to take (and titrate slowly upwards) alongside my morning dose of T4/T3. Posting this in line with the moderators rule of this forum below

Is it B12 anemia? I’m confused.
Hello all, I’m new here and not sure if I need to pursue some concerns I have with my health so wondered if anyone could possible give me some advice/guidance. I’ve always been tired, (it’s a family joke!), struggled with gut issues (mainly constipation), and in the last 5 or so years had terrible brain

breathless when hypothyroid?
I am currently “dysthyroid” as my gp puts it. Briefly - diagnosed with hypothyroid disease in 2016 (all antibodies negative). Since starting transdermal hrt in Jan my thyroid levels hv plummeted (result posted recently but roughly T4 7.2 (11-22) and T3 2 (3.2-6.8). These results are from when I was taking
